Did young Will Buick make it to Folkestone in time for the last after riding in the first at Brighton?
Yep, according to Zoe and Matt he did, even accused the young lad of not riding the best of races…………….but, hey, wait a minute, no it was a 7lbs. claimer, Robbie Egan, who was on the horse.

".ATR the best for British and Irish racing"…………..any comment, Sean ?

September 26, 2007 at 08:56 #116488It’s best to watch ATR using the red button and going full screen. No expert comments to distract the viewers!
September 26, 2007 at 09:04 #116489The commentator (think it was Ian Bartlett) even mentioned Egan during the commentary of the race.
As you say Colin didn’t stop Chaparse criticising young Buick saying that he had ridden the horse the opposite way to what he’d said he would when interviewed on Get On.
Presumably an apology will be forthcoming?September 26, 2007 at 09:37 #116494Matt made a full and sincere apology to William Buick within a few minutes of realising there was a jockey change, and that he had wrongly accused him of riding a bad race.

It was the race before Steve, Buick was supposed to ride Six Of Diamonds but never got there in time, so Robbie Egan took over.

September 26, 2007 at 17:11 #116571ATR convieniently left out any post match reaction on their replay in fact the race cuts of very quickly, though Bartlett does clearly mention Egan as they go around
September 26, 2007 at 17:18 #116573That’s my deliberate mistake!
, it was the last one that I watched from Folkestone, does that count?
Colin
September 26, 2007 at 17:46 #116578Well for me the last race at Folkestone was the 3.50 because that’s when I ran out of money
September 26, 2007 at 23:02 #116642Are we not being a little harsh? After all it is live tv, mistakes will be made, can see where you are coming from though, it is frustrating when they get it wrong, but that’s the comedy of it surely?
September 29, 2007 at 20:47 #117170No, when someone is paid to do a job they should at least do it properly and do some research rather than clown around like a complete tosser all the time. Take note, Chapman!
