New channel to feed betting shops, but how will this affect ATR long term do you think?
July 1, 2016 at 21:14 #1253818It won’t this is just ATR in a betting show the independents are ATR tracks anyway, if Ireland sign back to ATR from next year they will probably be added to the project.
I assume they hope maybe one or two independents will sign to them from RUK but unlikely.
July 2, 2016 at 15:56 #1254015You don’t think it’s possible they’d drop ATR for their own free/subscription channel for the general public like RacingUK then?

ATR doesn’t have enough high quality racing to be able to go subscription, though the SIS deal with Irish racing and now this could question which direction ATR will go in the future.
This deal is mainly ARC’s answer to SIS signing with Jockey Club.
July 7, 2016 at 19:10 #1254736Why don’t ARC just do a deal with RacingUk? Surely that would have economies of scale.
