This is a guess, but Sea The Stars?

Captain Robbo, completely agree about Exotic Dancer. Wonderful horse.

If correct name the 2yo filly who won at Pontefract and Beverley (Hilary Needler) before going on to win the then Cherry Hinton Stakes, Princess Margaret Stakes, Lowther Stakes, Flying Childers Stakes and Cheveley Park Stakes in 1978?

Clue: I think she was by Song out of Devon Night back in the day when racehorses were named using the traditional conventions!

    Sea The Stars is incorrect.

The answer to Ian’s question is Devon Ditty, unless I’m mistaken, but my question has yet to be correctly answered.

I can only imagine his owner, Mrs. Petite Luellwitz (USA), was a resident of Chicago, and therefore gave her fastest horse the nickname of her home town – Windy City TF142.

Gladiateur is right – and I was wrong!

    Sorry!

Right answer, MV. The horse was owned by another American, Ray Bell, first, before being sold to the Luellwitzes at the end of his 2yo season. Maybe Ray was from Chicago.

    Over to you.

You will not need a search engine for this one, just good old TRF, because it is a repeat of a question from a similar thread several years ago. They do not call me dull and repetitive for nothing, you know. But if you find something good, do not throw it away, use it again. It is possible that Gladiateur will remember this because I think he was involved heavily in that old thread.

This is a horse who should be honoured in racing history, but is 99.9% forgotten. Which horse won a hurdle, a chase, and a flat race in the UK on three consecutive racing days? Maybe the trainer should be honoured as well, if you find his name.

I do indeed remember the answer, MV, but I’ll give everybody else a chance.

The only jockey to ride the winners of the English, Irish, French, Italian & Kentucky Derbies – the last one is a big clue to the individual.

Edit: – sorry didn’t realise the last question wasn’t answered, it was Threadbare in the year I was born 1973.
