Sometimes pills to reduce water in the body cause cramps. It says so on the prescription of my pills.I have swellings in my ankels and take pills for it ie the swelling. So perhaps after winning the jockey title Hughesie will retire and start training.Perhaps open a Hannon sattelite yard in the Curragh?

Andyod, he’ll be back next year as he still wants to win the Derby and at present Hannon has at least one contender worthy of a shot.

It means he’ll be riding next season.

If Hannon keeeps producing the horses and Hughes is riding to an ability he is happy with I don’t see why he would be in a rush to retire from the saddle.

Vaguely remember Jerry O’Dwyer not riding a finish at Sandown a couple of years ago, claiming to have a pain in his leg which obviously affected his arms as well. Either that or he mistook the winning post. Or something.

    Won’t be happening

In the past he has talked about quitting when aged 40 .

However at that time he was on the booze and struggling with weight

He has subsequently said he’ll ride on

Has the best job in UK racing doesn’t he? Also unfulfiiled ambitions e.g. never won English classic
