Thanks Gladders, I was thinking about horses like Ambiente Amigo, Lavender Hill Mob or Burdett Road )and a few more) who all seem to take a “keen hold” during their races. Of course it’s not the owner’s fault or influence, but it could be the breed they prefer.

If breeding could be perfected, there wouldn’t be any racing.

I took his horses over hurdles as the trainer wanting them on the lead as best horse out of trouble that Stepney Causeway got put on lead , Allmamkind did iam sure , amd was another hurdler couple years back used to work up a decent lead .

Fair play to the horse. He finished off the race very well today.

True, he stuck well to the task despite being headed after two out.

He’d make for a great Netflix movie were he a human. Born with the compulsory silver spoon, wildly promising, throws away his talent by rushing headlong into every adventure. Trapped by medics who drug him and take his balls. Ends up in the backwaters away from the bright lights but still insists on going at everything as though these were his final minutes on earth. Looks like he’s redeemed himself, only for the villain to snatch the trophy as he sweeps past and just as the audience sighs, Ambiente Friendly finds the very last drops of his courage to triumph.

Looked rather uncompetitive today even when running off an OR of 119. Favourite track and trip, but he doesn’t seem to like being taken on. Who knows, maybe spring ground will help.

He rapped his legs quite hard at that second last so I hope he’s ok. Seemed to be jumping quite well up till then.

He was extremely low at the final two hurdles, simply didn’t take off both times. I’d say he hated the ground, but jumping at high speed in a competitive handicap has to be taken on trust.

    Race is here. https://www.sportinglife.com/racing/replays

Didn’t drop the bit till three out and got tired from there. Keen running took some toll, but suspect he wants a long break after a very hard race last time. Excellent technique all in all. Hope he finds form again and is not soured.

For some reason I can’t seem to log into my Sporting Life racing replays ( it started happening a few weeks ago) but I’ve been clicking onto a site just called racing replays (racing tv) and can watch them without having to log in. If they’re jockey club races you can watch on their site.
