Now listed as deceased on the BHA website, not heard anything official anywhere else?

Pulled up and dismounted at Newbury in February. Vet said he finished lame.

Thanks Prong, am very sad to hear this news.

It would be good if the stable were a bit more forthcoming about things like this. While Amarillo Sky was not a superstar, he was a talented chaser who most followers of racing would know.

I see that some queries about the horse’s welfare on Twitter/X have gone unanswered too. While I appreciate that news of a death is not good “PR”, mentioning it helps show that the horses are cared about and respects the interest that the racing public has in these wonderful creatures.

    RIP Amarillo Sky

Agree Marlingford. He was injured on live TV too so there was always likely to be a lot of public interest. Sorry to hear that he couldn’t be saved.

    Hello to all

This is more sad news. I did have a small bet on him in the
Queen Mother Champion Chase (NRMB). This was refunded back
    as a Void bet today.

I agree that more openness is needed about these horses who
    lose there lives. :negative:

    Many Thanks :bye:
