Some of these so called experts rattling on about Peddlars Cross running in next years Champion hurdle!!He"s No 2 miler,i see him as the biggest threat to next years RSA winner
Tell Massini
,both look natural 3m chasers to my untrained eye!
I’d be very surprised to see Peddlers goes back to 2 miles but I found the mention of him going chasing in Racing Post
QUOTE
"A winning 2m4f pointer who is not short of pace, he´ll make a chaser next year, with the Arkle the obvious target."
From watching his races I’d say The Arkle will be far too sharp for him, (ditto The Champion Hurdle) and
"the obvious target"
is (agreed) The RSA where he’s also likely to come up against For Bill who will probably be better the further she goes, having won two 3 mile points before running under rules.
I’d want a very sound explaination of Tell Massini’s awful run at this year’s Festival before I’d put him up against either of these two as a real contenderApril 11, 2010 at 11:53 #289610Some of these so called experts rattling on about Peddlars Cross running in next years Champion hurdle!!He"s No 2 miler,i see him as the biggest threat to next years RSA winner

My post above yours thm! I"m afraid we differ on it!
April 11, 2010 at 12:04 #289618If I was to bet Ante Post for 2011 these are the ones I’d be looking at
CHAMP HURDLE : DUNGUIB, VOLER LA VEDETTE, HURRICANE FLY
CHAMP CHASE : SIZING EUROPE
WORLD HURDLE : BIG BUCKS, SOLWHIT
RYANAIR : JONCOL
RSA : FOR BILL, PEDDLARS CROSS, MIKEL DE HAUGENET
GOLD CUP : AN SIORRAC, WEIRD AL
FOXHUNTERS : QUOTICA DE POYANSApril 11, 2010 at 14:04 #289642"The Ante-Post King" wrote:

Sorry TAPK, afraid I missed that!
I think this 3m is within this fella’s compass, but he has such a high cruising speed, and we found out at Cheltenham that he battles. I’d send him to the fighting fifth and decide after that.
April 11, 2010 at 20:26 #289714Went to my second Cheltenham Festival this year and I’ve now officially caught the racing bug!
Still trying to improve my knowledge all the time but I wondered what anyone’s opinion is on Pandorama for Cheltenham 2011??
I noticed he beat Weapon’s Amnesty by sh at Leo in Dec and he’s being talked about as a 8/1 shot for the Gold Cup! Do you think with the right ground he’d have a chance of being entered for Gold Cup next year, or is he more likely to go down RSA route?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Can’t remember where I heard it but before Aintree I’m pretty sure connections said they would be looking at going down the Arkle route with Peddlers next year, I reckon that would be the correct decision.

He must have a chance if the going is soft enough

He’s not eligible for The 2011 RSA, The Gold Cup is his only real option
Thanks in advance for the help!
April 12, 2010 at 10:10 #289816Pandorama will stay all day,he would have a chance in really soft ground in a Gold cup,on Good ground,Weapons will blow him away!I"m just having a flashback to Davy getting Weapons beat by Pandorama earlier this year!
April 12, 2010 at 12:57 #289850He produced him with every chance TAPK!! Headed Pandorama after the last even

Yeh he did thm,but watch the whole race and Weapons was in one of his own on the first circuit, too much to do,too much to do!!
April 12, 2010 at 13:44 #289860On good ground I think we agree the Weapon is a MACHINE!! Put thoses French-breds on their a*ses!!
April 12, 2010 at 17:18 #289908Probably not the right thread but related to recent posts
Tell Massini supporters might want to check
Anshan Dreams
last race on the flat at Limerick tomorrow evening.
Adrian Maguire’s 6-Y-O has had three NH runs
6/4 Fav to Tell Massini’s 7-1 when unseating his rider whilsts in front
Next time out was a 4-1 shot finished 4 & 1/2 lengths second to Loosen My Load, two subsequent winners and two previous winners behind
Latest run needs to be explained/ ignored but at forecast price of 14-1 on his flat debut in a 1m3f maiden looks real valueApril 12, 2010 at 17:28 #289910On good ground I think we agree the Weapon is a MACHINE!! Put thoses French-breds on their a*ses!!
I can’t see anything trained in The UK trouble the likely Irish contingent in next year’s Gold Cup….bar Weird Al…without him in the field it could easily be an Irish 1-2-3

Decent EW as it turns out 20-1 3rd provided he survives the stewarts enquiry for the swerve in the straight …fingers crossed

November 25, 2010 at 15:52 #329817I have already backed next years RSA winner at 66/1,he"s called
Tell Massini
,dont tell everyone though!
I wrote that on March 22nd and unfortunately we will never know just how good this fellow could have been having been killed today at Newbury,it was one of those falls where he got straight up from but can only imagine he broke his neck during the process! Very sad for all concerned as he was going to be a serious horse!
November 25, 2010 at 16:05 #329819Real shame TAPK, I’m glad I missed it!
