I’m dry today! William Haigh was a welcomed winner on Friday, not backed but laid the last 2nd and 3rd late on, the evenings beer depended on him!

Masters Club drifted out to a nice price when getting up on Monday, bit lucky considering the gambled on 2nd stopped as if shot after getting his head in front close home.

Laaheb fades tamely these days. Something amiss? Same story with Perfect Cracker although he went to evens in running. Speak The Truth ran well and just touched off at 8/1 on BF. Doctor Hillary did ok at 8.5/1, not far away in a blanket finish.

Laaheb didnt appear at ease coming round the final bend, having said that, his effort was short-lived and he was beaten a long way. It might be worth trying him at 10f but I’d want to see some indications of a return to form before considering him a betting proposition again.

Southwell 2.30 – Argentine

Will be a shorty tomorrow but hugely encouraging run last time at Kempton on third run for Ian Semple, handicapped well on Southwell form and no surprise given the positivity of her sire that she goes well there.
