Race 1: One of only three CD winners in the field,
Jackie Kiely
(NAP) faces his easiest task ever.
Cragganmore Creek
is a big danger. (Exacta and saver)
Race 2: The return to the sandpit will suit
Lady Brickhouse.
who deserves to win a race like this.
Race 3:
Guto
should hack all over this lot and has a weight pull with the Shaw animal.
Race 4:
Ceto
is a sporting, zero confidence selection against the Johnston hotpot.
Race 5:
Bel Cantor
(NB) is a sandpit regular and ran well in a better race than this last time out.
Tawzeea
was once considered in the top ten Johnston juveniles and runs for a trainer who can pay him some close attention. (Tilt)
Race 6: His second run suggests Where or When colt
Sternian
could be the dark horse here for tiny stable. The mile at Southwell will suit nicely.
Little Meadow
was fancied last time before running moderately.
Race 7: Punted last time as if God himself had him as the last leg of a celestial Yankee, beaten favourite
Spruce
is a probable rod in a pickle. Three runners in a Southwell maiden handicap? Who says there is too much racing huh!
Best of luck.
February 9, 2010 at 06:28 #275062Max, when I priced up the race, Lady Brickhouse was on the "value bet list" but wanted the market to have their say before I took the plunge. If she drifts a bit I may weigh in with a bet
February 9, 2010 at 06:31 #275063Slippery, I’ve been reading your charts and noticed that Lady Brickhouse had an edge. She was well backed last time here too. If one more of the gang fancies her, we have a consensus bet.

Race 1 Wouldn’t disagree with you here Max now Boy Dancer is a non runner, however I wouldn’t be risking a NAP on it. Might have a silly place only on Bernix.
Race 2 Consensus bet it is ! Lady Brickhouse would seem to have every chance to me. Mr Glovers Turf Time would be the most likely alternative.
Race 5 Sorry but agree with you again on Bel Cantor and the poor beast gets my NAP. Esprit De Midas with Callan up for the exacta
Race 6 Little Meadow would have a decent shout here and this would be my alternative. I’m probably plumping for Creevy in a minimum stakes race
February 9, 2010 at 17:12 #2751831st (11/4), 3rd (8/1), U, 2nd (10/1), 2nd (5/1), 2nd (14/1)
Talk about hitting the bar. Now, where’s that Jobcentre…
February 9, 2010 at 23:24 #275287Thats the GG’s for you max.. BTW planning a trip to Southwell on Tues.. are you there?
February 10, 2010 at 08:10 #275306February 10, 2010 at 10:14 #275317I’ll be there, Slippery. Look forward to meeting you if you’re coming up. I’d bring a scarf though – Baltic wind conditions in the valley.
Southwell: No bet today. Three flat races which are proof positive that no resources are ever infinite.
Kempton:
Race 1: In Banded races, it doesn’t pay to look too far away from the top three in the market. Six time winner
Sir Loin
looks tasty here. Likes Kempton. Ross Atkinson is the regular rider and the trainer’s horses have been running well.
Race 3: Kevin Morgan has his string in good order and
Dobravaney
can run into a place. Four time winner
Corrib
is a colossal price for a stable and jockey in excellent form together.
Race 4:
Mister Green
is the improver in the field though the market has got hold of this one like a vice. Fanning is the star of the show on artificial surfaces and will bring it on late and fast.
Race 7: From a tilt at the Radley Stakes to a Class 5 Kempton sprint,
Candyfloss Girl
has the credentials to win here. 3153 at Kempton and gets a handy four pounds from jolly Freddies Girl who might be better at both Lingfield and over 5f.
Best of luck.
February 10, 2010 at 10:28 #275323Few for me today at Lingfield and Kempton.
2.25 Ling – Teenager 10/1 – good draw for a bold front runner, likes the C&D and Jimmy Quinn is riding well currently.
6.10 Kemp – Lytham 7/1 – last run behind Barodine should put him spot on for this, likes the track and back down to an attractive looking mark of 50.
6.40 Kemp – Mister Green 7/2 – Fanning makes the trip over from Lingfield for this one and is in great form, should go close.
February 10, 2010 at 18:47 #2754631 out of 3 not bad, will concentrate on Kempton tomorrow night.
February 10, 2010 at 22:58 #275519That’s definitely it from me, gang. Three seconds and an ew fourth. Sometimes there is no rational explanation except demonic possession. Anyone know a good exorcist?
I’ve loved this thread, but the God of Irony is doing my head in.
All the best.

Max, FFS all you have to do is turn a profit, which you clearly can…no one gets rich being a hero or a romantic. BF place market and a suitable staking plan?…all this naval-gazing, while no doubt of interest to some, is just bollocks.
Unless of course your one of those punters that deep down likes to lose…romantic and all that…
February 10, 2010 at 23:27 #275523Oh Pete, gimme a break. I put this lot up 24 hours in advance. Its been going on for months.
But you are right. I’m drunk. And no, I was one of life’s winners – I hate losing.
Sorry dude.
