I’m a little surprised he hasn’t run in a Graded hurdle yet but he has that Champion Bumper experience

We need the weather to change because the forecast for the next ten days isn’t conducive to good horses racing on decent ground

Watering during cold weather can’t be good

    MarkTT

I Agree with him not running in a graded hurdle, I think he might of been a case of coming into this race through the side entrance (like THE NICE GUY).

I’ve had a close eye on him ever since the Cheltenham bumper run and he has always looked a big shell of a horse who will make a lovely novice chaser in the future. When he races he is not particularly quick (visually) but looks a stayer through and through and time is the essence, and I honestly think its been a case of slowly, slowly with him.

Not saying he is anything of a good thing but just a sneaking suspicion he is the fly in the ointment,

We shall see ( all about opinions)

Shanbally Kid for me around 20/1, and I’m really confident that he can at least make the frame here

I completely agree with the Seabank Bistro comments, but it’s Shanbally for me

    Following you in Autumnal

Think there’s a lot to like about him, and a little surprised at the odds.

Three Card Brag was my pick earlier in the season at 25’s, but cashed out along with a load of others. I’m still a big fan, but won’t back him tomorrow. Big player for me hopefully next year

Ladbrokes/Coral are going 5 places each way here, in a race that is no stranger to big priced winners.

Hiddenvalley Lake is my idea of the winner. I think he is better than his last run at Clonmel and the stable is in flying form.

At bigger prices, I have backed Search For Glory. Jamie Codd seemed quite enthusiastic about his chances on SSR’s preview show and hopefully he can be in the first five.

With minimum confidence, Stay Away Fay for me, remains unexposed.
But another race where 6 or 7 seem distinct possibilities.

I have Rock My Way and Chianti Classico each way from weeks ago, but they’ve ‘drifted out to sea’ together in the last 24 hours.

Corbetts Cross looks solid as main selection, already a hat-trick winenr and doesn’t seem to peaked. Stay Away Fay an improver as a slightly more speculative wager, a promising stayer on an upward curve.

This was really fun to look through but ultimately mind boggling. I’ll have a swinger on Corbetts Cross/Shanbally Kid.
A few quid on Three Card Brag although I’ve never had much confidence in an AP Heskin mount, sorry if that’s harsh.

Shanbally Kid was the one that looked way overpriced for this at 28/1. He beat Monty’s Star last time over 2m4f in a maiden, that one subsequently stepped up to 3m to beat Hiddenvalley Lake in a Grade 3 and HL is 6/1 for this race.
5/2 with Skybet to finish in the top 6.
