Hi All,
Sorry if this topic is slightly different to what is usually posted on this site. I have booked myself plus 20 customers in the Tattersals enclosure for Ladies Day. For budgeting purposes I was just wondering if anyone has any idea on what the prices are and drinks and food etc. For example a pint of lager?
Cheers

For those of us on more modest budgets there are far too many dining options than is possible to detail here, suffice to say the options are there, but at a price. Most of the eating options come from the ubiquitous mobile units, themain saving grace being that with the sheer number of outlets it is possible to find some real gems amongst the more traditional grease wagons. Two standouts were a gourmet sausage unit offering some excellent sausages in a bap for £4.90.
There was a burger stall selling beef burgers for £5.70, which is a tad on the pricy side, however to add insult to injury if you want cheese on your burger then you have to fork out an extra £1 – that is daylight robbery.
Other options included, noodle bar (£5 – £6.50), Baguettes (£4), Hog Roast (Roll £4.90, baguette £6.40), Steak Roll (£5), Fish and Chips (£7), Chips (£2).
The main way Aintree wants to get your money though is through the alcohol, it’s impossible to go anywhere without being confronted by either a bar or mobile beer vendor. Looking at the percentage of racegoers walking round with drinks in their hands it looks to be a successful tactic.
Bitter is charged at £3.40 a pint and lager £3.70.
