    Entries out, and priced up….

Doubt it’ll be a betting race for me, but Elegant Escape and Tout Est Permis, both look overpriced for a place at 20’s. I’d be particularly interested in the Meade horse.

I am torn in this race between CLan Des Obeaux who was never going to get up the Cheltenham hill and will be very well suited by this track and Kemboy who didn’t have a chance to show his potential in the Gold Cup.

Think I will wait until tomorrow night before making my decision but the rest can’t win for me!!

Same here FF91, was hoping to see if he could improve again.

Definite no bet race for me, one to enjoy now.

I reckon Kemboy will do a Teafortwo and take advantage of the fact that he was back in the racecourse stables for tea and crumpets while his rivals were fighting it out up the Cheltenham hill.

I also think Kemboy should win this. The other 5 horses had a hard race only three weeks ago and even without that Kemboy could be favourite based on his run in the Savills Chase.

No bet race for me either JJM, but if I was betting, then Kemboy would be a strong fancy.

If kemboy is a strong fancy surely it should be a betting race for you

No not really, I don’t have to have a bet, and I would rather sit out at that price. That is all.

Tricky race to call this and I wont be surprised if any of the first 5 on the market win but perhaps unsurprisingly my bet is a win bet on Elegant Escape at 22\1.

Both Bristol De Mai and Clan Des Obeaux had tough races in the gold cup and could easily both run flat here.
Road To Respect is probably better over shorter and is no good thing in this.
Kemboy and Ruby Walsh are the unknown quantity, unseating at the first in the gold cup meant he was unable to prove whether his big win in Ireland from the front was a fluke or not. If it wasn’t a fluke then he deserves to be favourite here but it’s still an if for me so I couldn’t back him.

Elegant Escape would probably be the gold cup winner now if it wasn’t for the horrific stable form of Colin Tizzard at cheltenham.
There are signs that some of the Tizzard horses are running better now and the trainer does well at this meeting. EE looks the horse who is still open to improvement and if he does improve here which he may well do then he has a big chance of getting his first grade 1 chase on the board.

This really is a great chaser, his jumping in the gold cup was his best yet. He was 3rd in the novice race at this meeting last year (a much superior animal this year) and is proven at the track.

22/1 is ludicrous. This is a genuinely classy chaser. A big chance to prove it here as long as it doesnt get any faster than gd/soft.

While he is still improving, a Hennessy, Welsh National, Cotswold and Gold Cup is a hard enough schedule for a big young horse. I hope the Tizzards let him out on the grass for a nice long summer after this.

At a flat track like aintree I’ll be very surprised if the likes of clan and kemboy won’t have too much speed for EE, I think if he finishes 3rd or 4th he,ll be doing well , I’m having clan win with a clan see obeux/kemboy forecast , clans king George run is the best form in the race and I reckon he,ll have too much pace

Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026

It’s a tough schedule but if there is one thing Elegant Escape is then it is tough. Thank God Tizzard didnt go National with him as that would have been too much.

He ran a cracker at this track last aintree festival and that was his 7th race of the season. This time it’s his 6th of the season and he definitely has a chance here to prove the gold cup form all wrong.

Whatever happens tomorrow I dont want to see him again til next winter.

Can’t resist having a go here on Elegant Escape. Just on the nose at 18’s.

Didn’t back Kemboy (or anything else) in the end and OK it wasn’t the best G1 ever and he got the run of the race but that was very nice to watch. He jumped so sweetly. :good:
