I started to back again after a big layoff only small stakes for a bit of fun.
I’m 3 bets in so far with a 4/1 winner (liberty beach) 8/1 winner (aljady) and 1 saver 7/1 (mythical madness)I stick to class 1 listed and class 2 or 3 handicaps 6f upto 1m I find longer races harder to work out
I first look at going, weather forecast with wind direction.
Then the pace of the race as I watch every horse and give it a pace rating from 1 to 10.
I like horses with good action and temperament I believe these win alot more often.
Finally i will check the odds and go from there, I don’t particularly like short favourites alot of the time, strike rate has to be so high with these but if I can’t see value anywhere else I do, I don’t believe in people just backing favourites or oustiders. Not sure I’ll get many bets on here
I seem to back market movers the majority of the time.June 14, 2020 at 22:46 #14907056 bets the last 3 days bottled putting them up but wish I did.
2 wins today fifth position (9/4) and El astronaut (5/1)
2 savers won (breath of air) main bet came second and (Morisko) main bet came second
2 losses (King of comedy) frustrated with my bet here best horse in the race but no pace a quirky horse and a tail wind but i knew this.
And Dream shotI won’t explain why I’ve picked a selection it takes to long i will do level stakes for the purpose of the Thread.

convict was very disappointing.
Lord North was suited by the race as I thought Japan Was far too short
Fujaira prince was a last bonus i rarely back a horse in a race that I haven’t studied but having a quick look at the form and seeing him in the paddock WOW I knew it was a good thing

2.25
QUADRILATERAL 3/1 LOST
Newmarket 1.05
IVATHEENGINE 9/2 WON
June 20, 2020 at 21:57 #1491524Disappointing day really, second loss on the run
BURMESE WALTS think I seen something people were missing at nearly 30/1
9/2 winner IVATHEGREAY would of seen me even for the day however I couldn’t get a full stake on at 9/2
ONE MASTER very disappointing i knew 6f was possibly too sharp and didn’t think the ground would be drying out so fast and I knew there was pace with sands of mali and hello youmzain (kicking myself over this one) but he was also very weak in the market.
I gave QUADRILATERAL a chance at 3/1 thought it was a price worth taking but i hate backing horses that don’t settle.
I was 1 placing away from a 8 horse accumulator for £2500 on the place part.
Should have a bet for Ripon tomorrow in a class 3 which is more like my kind of race I do best in
June 20, 2020 at 22:16 #1491531WD with your winners this week, Lord North was a great bet
June 21, 2020 at 09:15 #1491551Thanks Greenasgrass lord north had the turn of foot for how that race was going to be played.
I’m going to change to a points system now.
Redcar 3.15
Interesting race my kind of race to work out.
No pace and a tail wind. The fav ARBALET is too short to take seems one paced in his races. REETH and SHARAAMEKH* will go forward but not good enough imo. Two prom runners withdrawn. THE GREAT HEIR has the pace will be prominent and had a great battle with MUTAMAASIK who ran well at Ascot this week. Can win off this mark.
23 points THE GREAT HEIR 4.9/1 lost
13 points TRUE MASON 10/1 (may drift but not waiting around) lost
-36points
June 29, 2020 at 10:58 #1492136Yarmouth 2.30
35 points BLACKHEATH 3/1 looks a very nice type and should win off this mark WON
