Would you have preferred it if we hadn’t done a deal with those nasty Europeans then? Happy to be corrected but I don’t think the youth mobility scheme is the same as Erasmus? Would you prefer it if young people continued to not be able to work in European countries [apart from the people who supported brexit but just happened to have dual nationality passports that is…].

    How virtuous of the EU
BBC says their analysis has shown the EU spent as much on Russian oil & gas as on the Ukraine.
    good luck to all

Kid would rather we didn’t analyse Brexit at all , no doubt he s lapping up all the spend spend nonsense of Farage ( he,s already forgotten the economic disaster of the Truss government ) no the right want the right to choose what the UK should do , and that right is to bankrupt the country while destroying the NHS , hey they gave it a good go before ….. and you wonder why the Tory party is in the toilet , she,’ll be gone within a year and then in full panic mode the Tories are going to either flash a leg at Farage or worse still Boris … It’s a Brian Rix farce and the the Tory trousers fell down ages ago ….

And Michael Gove who told us we should leave the EU as we were being ruled by unelected bureaucrats ( which wasn’t true anyway) has now become an unelected bureaucrat in the House of Lords…

    thank you for your comments.
Starmer described the latest sell out as a win win ….. for who? … his beloved EU of course.
If this deal is so great why isn’t he shouting it from the rooftops?
Ask yourself why won’t he disclose the terms … because we don’t win and more is given away.
It’s described as salami slicing …. you take a small piece each time hoping people don’t notice or say it’s only this or it’s only that as more and more is handed over.
The payments are just tariffs in disguise, tariffs by another name.
The EU is run from Brussels by the ‘commissars’ who make all the decisions and decide what laws & regulations pass. The so called EU Parliament is nothing more than a rubber stamp for them. How many of those in Brussels are elected?
Junior doctors received a 22% backdated pay rise last year and now they are back demanding another 20%+ as well as others in the public sector ….. inflation busting pay rises all round!
Hey who cares …. it’s only the private sector that has to come up with the money who just happen to power the economy and create the growth Labour says it needs so desperately.
    good luck to all

I wouldn’t buy a second hand car from him but Georgie hits the bullseye sometimes:

Why does this lot insist on appearing in this way? Do they really think it impresses anyone? A captured audience told to stand there does not make them look popular or in touch with the public. The “optics” are terrible.

Most of the crowds look bored and miserable. I think I would as well if I had to hear Starmer’s android voice or Reeves wittering on.

the Speaker to the House of Commons @ PMQ’s ……

At PMQs today, Starmer said China is opposed to the Chagos Islands deal.

When has China said that? It has said nothing of the kind. Quite the reverse, in fact.

Telling lies is a politician’s stock in trade but that is quite a brazen one.

I assume the Speaker will be ordering Starmer to apologise for misleading the House?

How about mentioning the huge investment in public transport instead of constantly looking for things to criticise the government about?

Throwing money at it does not necessarily mean there will be a positive outcome.

The point was about presentation. It looks awful and opens the likes of Reeves up to ridicule. Not that she needs any help.

37 distinguished doctors have openly criticised the response to covid:

    https://wherearethenumbers.substack.com/p/did-governments-mismanage-the-covid

Lead author Professor Norman Fenton: “Much of the Covid response was compromised by flawed definitions, mathematical models that were not grounded in rigorous testing against actual data, and easily manipulated statistics. These were used to mislead and frighten the public into unnecessary and ineffective interventions, while attempts to highlight these concerns were largely censored.”

Another signatory writes: “The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated that highly educated people are just as likely to lose their cool and succumb to collective hysteria as their lesser educated counterparts. It was really disturbing to see academics who made their careers promoting the importance of critical thinking and of interrogating and deconstructing dominant narratives failing to apply those very same skills to interrogating and deconstructing the dominant COVID-19 narrative promoted by public health officials and the mainstream mass media.”

All spot on, as people who had actually bothered to think about it (instead of being hysterical) warned at the time.

With one or two exceptions, the whole of the rotten, corrupt political class and their lickspittle allies in the media should be in the dock for what they did.

It would have helped it Boris had attended the cobra meetings pre covid warning of the upcoming issue , I’ve already stated my anger at the people filling there pockets during the crisis ie Mone , sadly we,’ll never get to see these people get what they deserve however we can keep them out of ever running a government again ….

I think they are speaking for England here! I expect they have just done a harder day’s work than Reeves has ever done in her life and now they are forced to listen to her talk about something she knows nothing about.

I hope they get a bonus in their wage packets.
