    Hello there!

I’m making a trip to UK in June and I bought a couple of tickets to go to Royal Ascot on Tuesday 20.
It’s my 1st time ever on a racecourse.
I got them for the Windsor enclosure and I was wondering if anyone has ever been there and what was your experience.
What will I be able to see from there? Will I be able to see the horses on parade? How can I place a bet on the racecourse? :-)

The Tuesday is the best day, wish I was going this year.

The Windsor enclosure is the furthest enclosure away from the winning post at about 2 furlongs.
As far as I know unless things have changed which is unlikely you won’t be able to gain access to the parade ring.
You will get a good view of them going to post but will probably have to view the big screen to see the finish of the races.
There will be plenty of on course bookmakers near you in which to find the best price for your selection.

Are you staying nearby or just a day visit..? How are you traveling to the course?
The Ascot Train station is within a 5 minute walk to the course if you are a fit man like myself, if you are a little slower like David Cormack it may take you 10 minutes, it’s uphill to the course so quicker on the way back.

Enjoy your day, Ascot is great imo although some don’t like it, I find it a magical place

    Thanks for the reply Nathan!

I don’t mind much that it is at the 2 furlong pole, but what a shame about the parade ring!
I did take a look at the Queen Anne tickets but it was too much to buy the 3 tickets :D

I’ll be a few days in London and a two-three other days at a friends’ house in Eton.
We might go on Monday to Windsor racecourse too
