I hope CAPRI not face Churchill hope they stay apart with CAPRI going for race Australia won at 2
Steve any views on 2yo races at Leicester both look decent races
Any views on 2yo races at Doncaster this week to
Darren, looking at today’s races, according to ATR, the first race on the card was won by Muntazah, who then went on to the Royal Lodge on his next start. That can’t be correct though, as this is a fillies race and he is a colt. Typical ATR error.
The John Gosden filly Coronet, by Dubawi, catches the eye but some of Gosden’s have been needing their first start. There seems little value, at a general 6/5 for her.
I would rather back Agathonia at 6/1. She is more likely to be forward and in a guessing game she seems a safer option at bigger odds. There seems little confidence in the others but it’s a race full of possibilities.
I’ll come back to on the other race later on.
Speculative selection:- Agathonia 6/1
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 6, 2016 at 14:52 #1262241Coronet duly won but it didn’t look likely for long enough. It was a case of needing the trip but she did it nicely enough and was very green at the front.
The Godolphin filly was ominously weak in the betting. She travelled well enough and looked like she might take a hand in the finish but she’s a big, gangly, work in progress and she needed this run.
Gosden’s filly will improve a great deal and Cumani’s horse will progress from this as well.
Hard to assess but Coronet will probably be plying her trade at 10F plus next year and she’s worth following.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 6, 2016 at 15:02 #1262243Sea of Grace not running in Moyglare.
September 6, 2016 at 15:02 #1262244Sea Of Grace was cut from 10/1 to 7/1 for the Moyglare with Paddy Power. Amazing the power the Caution Quid has on these markets LOL
Well you’re certainly one of the best tipsters around.
Not at all. Sea Of Grace is pulled out of this for starters!
How often have we seen them shorten, only to be taken out?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 6, 2016 at 15:05 #1262245Jesus these Irish Juvenile races have been rubbish in terms of competition this year. Rhododendron and Churchill both odds on for Group 1 races.
This is making for poor watching and the quality is getting spread 1 micron thick across the 2yo calendar.
Disappointing stuff.

Couldn’t agree more – they are no more than home gallops. Unfortunately shows the lack of depth in Ireland once you take out Ballydoyle.
Thanks for posting the Exemplar video. Still early days and he was very green but definite promise there and worth a little ew at the prices. Also agree with you about Caravaggio – it was a pitiful Group 1 that he won and he was not impressive in doing it. I would be amazed if he even ran in the Guineas.
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
September 6, 2016 at 20:23 #1262289It’s amazing how a horse that was considered to be the second coming has regressed so badly, just from one race to the next, and within such a short time!
Maybe Seamie should have pushed him out a bit, or even given him a tap with the stick, so he could win by another half a dozen lengths and look more impressive for the sake of the fickle among us.
September 7, 2016 at 11:58 #1262325Steve you see 1m maiden as well i thought SPORTING TIMES ran well at big price he is bred to be a stayer so ran really well he come into his own over staying trips next season
Any views on Commenwealth cup as well i like QUEEN KINDLY and i think BLUE POINT Should win middle park they 2horses like for race
And you think CORONET can get 1m4 next year that what Gosden is thinking 1st horse that grab me for the oaks she is
September 7, 2016 at 15:25 #1262338Decent 2yo maiden at Doncaster on thursday. With The Anvil going there could be decent race
And steve there a 2yo group 3 at Chantilly on thursday as well.
September 7, 2016 at 15:29 #1262340Speculative punt on Wolf Country tomorrow in the 4.50 as the trainer has a great record with two years old and I believe that the same owners won this last year with Very Talented, although my trusty weekender says Glencardam Glory has been going well at home

Blending I also like in the may hill to beat a lot of exposed types.
September 7, 2016 at 16:19 #1262345Steve just to say there is NFL up in general sports so any views on the new season in terms of outright bets
Judge what you think of the Anvil i know form of winner not worked out but look very good he did and as we seen these 2yos from AOB much better on 2nd run
September 7, 2016 at 17:08 #1262350I’m sure The Anvil’s great mate and will probably win for you but I will continue with my suicide betting and stick with Wolf Country.
September 7, 2016 at 18:15 #1262351The Anvil will get hammered
September 7, 2016 at 19:06 #1262356Mind you I must admit I backed Hydroxide on debut- was gutted when he just got beat and was a very good run as the winner is very highly rated.
Looks a tough maiden and Aiden hardly sends them over for the fresh air does he?

I am expressing what I feel here and it wasn’t a good race in my opinion. He’s won a race that was supposed to be a group 1 but it simply wasn’t. I don’t think that he ran to his Coventry form and he didn’t need to to win that race.
Three of the four who were behind Caravaggio have run since and all three of them were unplaced and comfortably beaten. Group 1 runners finishing unplaced when dropped i class sets alarm bells off for me.
Caravaggio isn’t even favourite in the betting for his next two races and took a huge lurch out in the Guineas betting with Paddy Power this week. Why would they feel the need to do that?
I can’t see him as a Guineas winner with his profile.
We will see who the fickle people are by the end of the season I feel.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

He has drifted recently in betting because he almost certainly isn’t going to run again this year, that means he shouldn’t even be in the betting for the Middle Park and Dewhurst. And because he isn’t running again this year, he won’t be running in the Guineas (because that’s not the Ballydoyle modus operandi), and Aidan has as much as said that he won’t be running in the Guineas. He has, however, stayed rock steady in the betting for the Commonwealth which is the much more likely target. So his drift in the betting is nothing to do with his performance in the Phoenix Stakes where he beat admittedly inferior horses, but under a hand ride by several lengths. The horse had already proven himself in the Coventry, Seamie didn’t need to beat him up to make an impression.
And since the Phoenix Stakes, he was very well fancied for the Morny, with yourself too I recall, so I’m not sure how it’s suddenly the case that he was disappointing in the Phoenix. - AuthorPosts
