It is not “people” I have a problem with. It is just yourself.
At no time have I come onto your thread and criticised your processes. I am actually trying my best to steer clear of you as much as possible.
It is you who is following me around like a bad smell and butting in where I don’t want your opinion. What gives you the right to take issue with my opinions on other people in the media or any statements I find odd from tipping outlets? That is nothing to do with you unless you work for and are representing them. If they have any issue they can tackle me directly. You can have your opinion on it and leave me with mine. That is the way a forum works, it is not about barging in and telling people they are wrong.
Where is “your thread” Steve?
This is a thread started by Darren and in the “Horse Racing” section. Where people come to give their opinions and debate. There’s nothing wrong with peope having different opinions, I don’t “take issue” with your opinions, I just disagree with some of them. You criticise a lot of my opinions too, eg You didn’t see why anyone should back Emotionless for the 2000 Guineas. Absolutely slaughtered my opinion of War Command and you went back to that subject three times!Yes, I’m known for being a Timeform deciple. There’s nothing wrong with you criticising Timeform or anything/anyone else – but whether it is Timeform or a trainer or a jockey or a horse — you’ve got to expect others with the opposite point of view to defend them. That’s what debate is. After the debate you’re left with your opinion and the other person is left with theirs.
Our paths are bound to cross, because you’ve been the most prolific poster on here and I’m probably the second or third. So it’s bound to seem as though I am disagreeing with your opinion more than other posters do; can assure you it’s the same the other way around too.
Value Is EverythingSeptember 30, 2015 at 02:13 #1209099You are claiming I am going over the score here in other posts. Where is the evidence? Nobody else has taken issue with anything I have said. If they have taken offence they need only point out where they think I was wrong and a full apology will be issued if it is due.
The only thing I take issue with is your language towards me. How the hell would you have reacted if I was to say to you “piss off dickhead”? Why shouldn’t I take issue with that? Others don’t take offence because it is not them that you’re swearing at.
It sometimes seems Steve, as though you don’t want a debate at all. Just wanting to put your opinions up and have everyone tell you you’re right.
Value Is EverythingSeptember 30, 2015 at 08:29 #1209102Come on guys, it’s a racing forum, we’re not fighting ISIS here, stop taking it so seriously.
I think that as far as the Coolmore debate is concerned, she didn’t do too badly, at least on her second run she finished strongly against a well-regarded filly of Halfords, and then used that finishing burst to good effect to reverse the form on Sunday.
Just because she was a maiden doesn’t mean that she’s been disappointing, she doesn’t know what price she’s been sent off at.
I think what Steve takes umbrage at though Ginger is you coming on and basically rubbing his face in it because he made a bad call, that’s why he snapped, personally I can completely understand that.
September 30, 2015 at 08:35 #1209103Hannon suggests Tabarrak has plenty of speed so it’s all systems go tomorrow.
I’d be concerned about Richard Hannon’s form at the moment Nathan. It’s bound to change at some point, 40+ runs without a win is almost unheard of for Hannon! I’ve opposed Tabarrak with Projection and Bint Al Reem. Will see how Hannon’s get on in earlier races and decide whether to have a saver on Tabarrak.
Best of luck.

Trainer form would be a concern although Illuminate and Humphrey Bogart both ran very well in tough races. My concern as expressed over the other page would be the distance as I think 7f looks ideal. If they go a pace here with possibly two front runners taking each other on? then I’d be more confident but if they go too steady I wouldn’t be. He’s a strong traveller so I think he wouldn’t be taken off his feet but off a slower pace he might be caught when they quicken. Possible could make the running himself. I haven’t had a bet, just a horse I like and watching with interest.

September 30, 2015 at 09:42 #1209105It’s a horse that you like and you haven’t had a bet Nathan?
You’re the complete polar opposite of me then, I have bets even on horses that I don’t like!
September 30, 2015 at 15:13 #1209139lol Judge
Betvictor gave me a five pound birthday present so I’ve done Tabarrak in a double with Man City tonight.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
September 30, 2015 at 15:30 #1209142Well given the way I’m running today, I don’t expect Tabarrak to trouble the judge
September 30, 2015 at 15:35 #1209144FFS!
Sum’s up my luck today that had a lay of Tabarrak at 1.13 in running
matches at a low of 1.18!

September 30, 2015 at 15:35 #1209145He ran well enough considering the distance. imo

Wanted to make those very points before the race Judge, been walking on egg shells and deleted what I’d written.
Considering Coolmore was Cabbage-like on debut, not knowing what to do – she ran well. Despite their amazing breeding and outstanding potential so many of Ballydoyle (the stable)’s debutants run very green, including Ballydoyle (the horse). Not Coolmore (the horse)’s fault that – mainly because of her name – punters/bookmakers made her an unrealistic price.
She improved second time up, not quite enough after being held up in a race run at a less than true pace at only 7 furlongs. As you rightly say Judge, just because an odds-on shot is beaten does not mean it has run badly. Only a head behind the well thought of Anamba. Every reason to believe Coolmore would give another good account and come on for her first two starts. Anamba herself proved the maiden form good by finishing 1/2 length second to Coolmore in the Group 3.
Value Is EverythingSeptember 30, 2015 at 20:54 #1209172Tabarrak and Projection both looked pattern material today. Right way around for me, but not sure who’s the better prospect.
Value Is EverythingOctober 1, 2015 at 08:20 #1209436I’d say it was Tabarrak whose the better prospect.
6f was too short for him, that’s why Hanagan jumped on the Hills horse. Despite Hannon’s form this horse produced a great race there. 7f on debut ran a blinder behind a very good Gosden horse Tashweeq who has entries in all the flashy races, Dewhurst, Racing post trophy and Derby. Why Hannon ran Tabarrak here is anyone’s guess he had previously said that anything he had achieved to date was a bonus as he’d develop nicely at 3 y/o and didn’t see the need to run him again. Hannon has spouted a lot of bull soup this year although as we know things in horse racing are not set in stone.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
