How do we see the 2yo races at Longchamp o’Brein has fav for both bit shocked to see
Johannes Vermeer here he looks like a derby horse better off at Doncaster he be.

Darren, I’m looking forward to seeing the unbeaten Ultra. He’s very closely related to Swedish Sailor who thumped Noble Mission 5 lengths on their debuts a few years ago but then got injured at the beginning of his 3 year old season and was never the same.

Fabre could have run Cloth of Stars in this (same ownership) but he is due to run in the Group 3 Prix De Conde on Monday. cloth of Stars has already won a Group 3.

Ultra is going from a conditions race straight to a group 1.
Ultra has a Derby entry and is bred for middle distances.

Didn’t realise the Lagardere had been increased to a mile.

You are claiming I am going over the score here in other posts. Where is the evidence? Nobody else has taken issue with anything I have said. If they have taken offence they need only point out where they think I was wrong and a full apology will be issued if it is due.

The only thing I take issue with is your language towards me. How the hell would you have reacted if I was to say to you “piss off dickhead”? Why shouldn’t I take issue with that? Others don’t take offence because it is not them that you’re swearing at.

It sometimes seems Steve, as though you don’t want a debate at all. Just wanting to put your opinions up and have everyone tell you you’re right.

Narcissus pseudonarcissus (commonly known as wild daffodil or Lent lily) is a perennial flowering plant

This species has pale yellow flowers, with a darker central trumpet. The long, narrow leaves are slightly greyish green in colour and rise from the base of the stem. The plant grows from a bulb. The flowers produce seeds, which when germinated, take five to seven years to produce a flowering plant. (Sexual [seed] reproduction mixes the traits of both parent flowers, so if garden hybrid cultivars are planted close to wild populations of Narcissus pseudonarcissus, there is a danger that the new seedlings, having hybrid vigour, could out-compete the wild plants.)

Antonoe in the Prix Marcel Boussac is giving me the goolies, I am looking forward to seeing her at this level. Currently battling for favouritism with Ballydoyle. I don’t see it with her, especially at her price but consider me ready to eat my words come 105pm Sunday.

This is even better – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0hyXIOImjo&feature=youtu.be

Happy to have wagers with anyone who thinks Frankel will be a dud at stud. His progeny are going to WIPE THE FLOOR with everything else. He had SO much in hand over everything that they don’t need to be even 10lbs as good as him to be champions. He had so many qualities and was, as I said at the time, 100 years ahead of his time in terms of his immense physique, presence and extraordinary ability to gallop at top speed for so long. Add to that a massive stride, a wonderful willingness to stretch his neck out and give 100% and you have just one or two of the attributes that he will be passing on to his kiddies. I really can’t wait.

That link is a keeper Joni…sends shivers down your spine and can’t wait for ‘Frankel’s Babes’ to be running next year, the bookies will have no hiding place.

As this is Darren’s 2yo Summary Thread I might be an idea that we summarise some of the best 2yo’s we have seen this year so far so that we can revisit this thread this time next year to see how they faired, say 6 horses each and it doesn’t matter if more than one person nominates the same horse.

I do have one wildcard filly to keep a careful eye on next year her name is Beautiful Morning she is the progeny of the ill fated George Washington’s sole produce Date With Destiny and Galileo and she has an entry in the 1000 Guineas, I have backed her at 33/1…it would be a fairytale ending if she were to win a Guineas in his memory and she has already shown she has ability as the two horses she beat in a Class 2 at York in August have both gone on to win races very easily.

    Here are my 6

    Shalaa
    Tashweeq
    Nemoralia
    Alice Springs
    La Rioja

    He did me proud today.

Looking forward to his 3 year old career now, hopefully that will include a stop off in Epsom ;-)

She looks the part. I think she’ll end up a decent 10f horse but that should hold her in good stead for a mile this year and early next year, they don’t normally hang about in the guineas and it’s better to have a horse staying further than one that doesn’t which would be my only concern regard Lumiere.

Look forward to that Darren, you’re right we still have lots of 2yo maidens to be run before end of season and who knows who will be Anto Post favourite for the Classics by end October..good luck and really enjoying this thread I think we have lots to look forward to next year..

Thanks for your comments on Beautiful Morning Nathan, will know on Friday if she is going to good enough to run with the big girls..

Just a postcript to the above Darren & Nathan…If Beautiful Morning should run really well on Friday or even win (who knows how good she is) the possibility that Luca Cumani could lose her to Godolphin would loom very large, how much would they love to buy into the progeny of George Washington’s only daughter as they have been doing, very successfully, over the past years. The back door is ever open as far as Sheik Mohammed and his operation are concerned especially where Galileo is concerned.. Jac

Has anybody heard of what reason there was for Antonoe’s poor performance in the Boussac?
I would have understood had Ballydoyle beaten her as there wasn’t that much to go on from Antonoe’s form but I don’t believe she could have finished that far back if there wasn’t something wrong with her.
