Thought Megalithic would be a lot shorter
Had excuses last time – late foal and soft ground but have to side with the Wealth Manager on fav New Charter in WoodcoteJune 1, 2024 at 13:18 #1696492No Epsom 2yo races today
Lets try last years then in the h/c opener
Blake and Grey Cuban to place and give Pompey most to think about!

Is Clutterbuck usually so unconvincing in the finish?
June 3, 2024 at 18:24 #1696894Not expecting much pace in the upcoming Weatherby fillies maiden – don’t see any of them really relishing good ground. Miss Hathaway May not win but she’s a bit of value if she’s anyway smart like her sire.

4th not too bad but wrong about the pace
Has to be on the firm side of good with that time!
June 8, 2024 at 13:58 #1697333Maw Lam looks a decent price to me as fav at 7/2 – decent race she won last time in Thirsk
Have my doubts whether Powerful Lady will get home up that stiff hill

Fav slow out of stalls
125/1 Winner
June 16, 2024 at 10:24 #1698051Zilzal me old pal
Any thoughts on the Salisbury race
New Charter ran a stormer on debut with the winner now a very sparkling hot shot for Royal Ascot
next up at Epsom she lost the race at the start after getting sandwiched out the stalls
The dilemma is stable jockey Sean Levey rides An Outlaw’s Grace who makes his debut… Both are 7/4 top price
Levey must rate the newcomer as the better horse whilst New Charter has a bit more experience
I’m incline to leave it..Blackbeard to conquer the World
June 16, 2024 at 10:59 #1698055Nathan, its June 16th, its just about high Summer now so the only winner today is Great Outdoors, before the rain at least! Hard enough to decide on Euro ’24, GAA football and the French Oaks without the 4.00 2yo Novice event in Salisbury!
That Chantilly race should carry a Hughes Wealth Warning with all the blanket finishes it produces over the years. Tricast “Bum Steer” for what it’s worth
1) Candala – even though jockey booking is a negative around here!
2) Tamfana
3) Rock ‘n SwingUnlucky with that corner bet the other night, seems to me a lot of teams studiously avoid corners presumably because of resulting injury possibilities
June 16, 2024 at 11:53 #1698061There was another corner but the ref and assistants didn’t see the touch off the Scottish player late on
cest le vie…Blackbeard to conquer the World
July 21, 2024 at 09:38 #1702355Did you guys see The Lion in winter winter at the Curragh best horses who already had a run.
Has a middle distance pedigree won going away already took 20/1 for the derby
Going to Futrity next same CD.
July 22, 2024 at 14:58 #1702468Must be bit of value about Hammer the Hammer. Gimcrack entry and proximity to Aysgarth last time might indicate decent effort despite slow time. New jockey Eaves might be best for him to make all to burn off jolly on his debut.

Facile Win by fav
July 31, 2024 at 14:00 #1703378Arabian Angel wouldn’t have to be anything special to win FTO – will like the ground but wide draw may not be ideal and 6f plenty long enough so for some value will give Cape Sovereign and Diablo Rojo a chance v the field
August 1, 2024 at 14:17 #1703550Taking Billboard Star to finish in first three@ 5/6
Should be a match with the striking Viking penalty kicker

Checked out of 3rd place
August 3, 2024 at 16:32 #1703893Not clear to me with my limited knowledge why Consolidation is a clear favourite – no doubt about to find out! Meanwhile happy to oppose him with 2nd fav Spell Master and the Master Murphy @ 7/2

Mugged of half my winnings on the line by highway robber Rossa Ryan
August 7, 2024 at 14:37 #1704148Would expect newcomer Midnight Thunder to be shorter than 7/4 if he was a good thing in a weak looking race. 11/10 Our Mighty Mo in first two my preference

Fav gave it away at start
Mo impeded on the rail from trying to placeAugust 8, 2024 at 14:19 #1704189Not sure stepping up to 7f is best for Ellaria so took the 7/4 about debutant Anna but out to 15/8
Kingscote will need to take charge if the first couple of furlongs are sluggish
Considering a small “saver”
August 9, 2024 at 19:43 #1704268Let’s chance Peaceful Spirit’s inexperience 4/1 and Balayaged’s experience 6/1 against the field. Captivate could be as much a danger as the other two favs.
* * *
Well at least got more of a run for my money from the debutante than from Johnston’s filly
August 11, 2024 at 14:31 #1704475Guessers alley with these unraced 2yo. Can’t see the middle distance ones tearing down the hill FTO so I’m going to give the possibly speedier ones a chance against the field
Nightwalker 11/4
Marchigon 11/2
* * *
Glad I pinned that one up very late
Nightwalker should have been named Jaywalker!
August 16, 2024 at 14:27 #1704684“Good” form in fillies contest as opaque as ditch water. Hunch is to forgive Ecology her last outing. So it’s 100/30 W/Fav for me.

Never a factor
At least knew it was an open race -
