Broome gets 200 Group points for winning a Group 3 and @ 2/5 gets 10 X 2/5 = 4 Betting Bonus points for a total of 204. However, the double points for a nap only applies to Group points and not the betting bonus. 2 X 200 = 400 + 4 = 404.
Would’ve liked to keep it simpler and just doubled the combined race points; but it would be too big an advantage at the bigger prices.
eg As it stands a 100/1 Group 1 winner gets 30 X 100 = 3000 betting bonus + 1000 Group points = 4000 race points. If that 4000 were doubled it would be 8000 points for just one win; where as with just Group points being doubled it’s 3000 Betting Bonus + 2000 Group points = 5000 points.
