At first glance this race is all about Stradivarius, but I do think that there are plenty here who could make a race of it.

If not for Gosden having Stradivarius, then I would be making a case for Royal Line at 16-1. I like the attitude of this horse, and I’m looking forward to seeing him again.

There are two Aidan O’Brien horses that have me tempted to throw a couple of pounds away ante-post.

I think that Broome is becoming a ‘forgotten horse’, but at 33-1, i think that he is a big price, because I could see them experimenting with him here.

Capri has definitely looked a shadow of himself this season, and like Broome he has got the attractive option of The Arc, but I do think that 50-1 is a huge price.

It’ll no doubt be a small field, and it’ll be hard enough to second guess who will be the handful to take on Stradivarius, but I don’t mind throwing a few pounds each way on this pair.

I think you’re right Kris, in all likelihood it’s just another pay day for Stradivarius.
Although I love watching him run, 1/2 doesn’t float my boat. I thought before the Ebor that
Kings Advice looked a very decent sort who was going the right way, and I thought I would
be smart and grab a price for this before he trotted up in the Ebor. Problem is he didn’t,
for whatever reason, trot up and the 33/1 I grabbed is still available with Bet365.
I wasn’t convinced he would run here after that, I’m still not, but my money is down so I’ll
live in hope. He did run a couple of weeks back in a 3 runner event at Salisbury, which turned
out to be a 2 horse race when one runner refused to race. Hard as it is to believe with just 2
horses, he managed to find himself short of room when tightened up on the rail and went down by
a neck. So not the best build up for this, but he is genuine and if Johnston has him back to his
best he would have a good e/w shout.

I hope that Stradivarius does it. I cannot have a serious bet against him, but I will go with Bin Battuta each way at 50-1. I have also added Withhold at 12-1.

Kris I have joined you with Capri at 50-1 EW (boosted to 55s with PaddyP though I think this is for the win part of the bet).
One last hurrah before he goes off to sire little hurdlers.

Cracking finish; don’t think Kew Gardens overly likes soft either so well done both for fighting it out. They didn’t need to run Stradivarius but he was only beaten a nose- don’t think it was wrong to run him, he’s tough and hasn’t had a heap of brutal races.

Was outstayed in the end. Coolmore haven’t said if Kew gardens is staying in training. I hope he does then the staying division will be great next season.

That was an outstanding finish. Here’s to a rematch next season. It’s certainly a welcome boost to this division.

Superb race, have to hand it to Kew Gardens he was tough. As GAG says the ground really wasn’t ideal for him either. Highly likely this battle will carry on into next year and that’s great news. Kew Gardens probably doesn’t cut it as a stallion at Coolmore for the flat, even as a 3 time G1 winner??

Kew Gardens is intended for next year’s Ascot Gold Cup.

“Kew Gardens tried very hard. He has a lot of talent and is very genuine. It was nice for everyone to see how good of a horse he is. He looks like he would stay the Gold Cup trip and, yes, absolutely, you’d have to consider him a Gold Cup contender,” said O’Brien.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

Great race and although i wanted Strad to win i thoroughly enjoyed the battle.

Kew Gardens is a perfect NH stallion surely, St Leger winner who won the Zetland over 10F as a 2YO. AOB done masterful stuff to get him back to win that on Saturday after the season he’s had.
