Not a race I’d usually spend that much time on Antepost, and the plan here was always to side with Pacha Du Polder this year, but there’s an early one catching the eye.
I always had a soft spot for Kruzhlinin, and but for stamina limitations, I reckon he’d have won a decent staying handicap.
Trip here would be more suitable, and he’s now in the hands of Gordon Elliot. In fine form in points, and though not getting any younger, he makes some appeal at 14’s.
He’s about to run at Down Royal, so I’ll be watching with interest.
January 20, 2019 at 15:53 #1393109Ucello Conti is an interesting recruit to the Hunter ranks, and we’ll see how he is at Thurles shortly.
However this race develops I’ll be siding with Pacha Du Polder, but at Warwick tomorrow there is a significant runner for me, with Double Ross due to run. Love this horse, and there must be a real possibility of him running at Cheltenham with Zac Baker up, which would be a significant plus.
January 21, 2019 at 22:40 #1393216VTC – Do you know if Hazel Hill is qualified to run at the Festival?
January 21, 2019 at 22:55 #1393218Yes, CNC.
January 22, 2019 at 20:26 #1393288I’ve gone in on Hazel Hill. I was very impressed with his run, although very difficult to assess the competitiveness of the race.
January 22, 2019 at 20:52 #1393292Really fancy Hazel Hill after yesterday’s win. Looked a very good Hunters Chase beforehand and he destroyed them.
January 23, 2019 at 09:24 #1393302Visually impressive and on RPRs he’d have won all renewals of this back to 2009.
Is the form that strong? Mr Mix, beaten in two points?
Shantou Flyer no show?
I know very little about the horse but will 3m2 suit around Cheltenham considering Warwicks a speed test?

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 24, 2019 at 04:48 #1393402Stand Up And Fight for me
January 24, 2019 at 09:31 #1393411Jack – wins at Leicester, Towcester and a few undulating PTP courses suggest that Cheltenham shouldn’t be an issue.
January 28, 2019 at 10:02 #1394026In case you missed it Stand Up and Fight got turned over in an Irish point yesterday.
Hazel Hill must have every chance but I’ve had a small interest on Irish Anthem and am hoping for a big run from him in the Walrus at Haydock in a couple of weeks.

Fair points re the tracks- wouldn’t have been strong races in any way.
Form still massively questionable.
Either way, it’s not a race i get involved in much anyway, so of course good luck!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 16, 2019 at 00:39 #1397573Hopefully a nice quiet run for Pacha Du Polder later today.
As much as I’ve mentioned a couple of others, he’s still my main fancy for this, and he’s hard to be too negative about. Nicholls has him down to a tee, and I’m amazed he’s 16’s just now.
It’s easy to forget he should be going for a four timer in this, as he really should have won that day with Victoria Pendleton.
The 14’s NRNB BOG with Bet365 is very fair.
February 16, 2019 at 05:55 #1397584VTC – Be careful about placing a wager on Kruzhlinin. GE stated on Twitter Q&A that only Ucello Conti, when specifically asked about Kruzhlinin and Ucello Conti, will been entered for the Foxhunters.
February 16, 2019 at 10:46 #1397633Thanks for the heads up CNC, appreciated, but ok thankfully with him.
I certainly think he had a chance, but he’s a Rooney horse, so this isn’t a surprise. He might be one for Aintree.
The Foxhunter is usually a race where I would only bet one**, and this year’s all about Pacha Du Polder, though I haven’t actually bet him yet.
There’s another one who looks big for this, and it’s Balnaslow at 25’s.
**That might change this year, if Double Ross ran, I would have to have a sentimental bet on him.
February 18, 2019 at 22:36 #1398171I’ve no idea if she’d qualify, very ignorant on that front, but Theatre Territory entered up at Doncaster on Wednesday. Sam Waley-Cohen jocked up on Wonderful Charm though.
February 18, 2019 at 23:41 #1398188Needs to finish in the first two in a hunter chase, VTC, having already won a point.
February 18, 2019 at 23:51 #1398189Thanks Mark
