Gone on Divin Bere at 40-1. Why not? Nicholls has to strike some time, doesn’t he?

I’m more interested in the British runners here and think that Flying Tiger (12/1) must hold a massive chance. A Hare Breath (16/1) has been saved for this after an impressive win at Sandown on very bad ground whilst Spiritofthegames (20/1) makes a lot of each-way appeal off the back of a very good run in the Betfair and William H Bonney seems to save his best for Cheltenham on bad ground and similarly looks like a fair e/w bet at 25/1.

What makes you more interested in the British runners here? is it the fact that they havn’t won any of the handicap hurdles so far and therefor their luck has to change?

WHISKEY SOUR & SANDSEND, dutched for 7.35.

Whiskey Sour makes his handicap debut, and might be lightly treated when you watch his last run in the Leopardstown G1 won by Samcro. He made a mistake at a hurdle and quickly found himself detached from the pack turning for home, but he’s made ground well and finished only 3 lengths behind Paloma Blue who ran well in the Supreme. He’ll have improvement well beyond a rating of 141. Sandsend was last seen winning a G3 beating Forge Meadow, when both pulled miles clear of the rest. Forge Meadow next time out beat Identify Thief (4th in the Champion Hurdle on Tuesday), so that form seems good. His performance was good on the clock that day and he should improve beyond his mark of 145.

I shamelessly mopped up any 12 & 14-1 about Duca De Thaix for Elliot, whilst he was cleaning up yesterday. Saver on Sandsend at 12-1.

Know nothing about either horse, but the Irish are cleaning up the handicaps, and Elliot’s are on fire.

Forgot to say… I’m with Flying Tiger and Duca De Thaix and very confident with both

Katie Walsh’s mount looks to have suffered a fatal injury there. Sad to see that and that’s ruined the race even though I didn’t have a bet.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Well, that was a shocker. What a stinker by both of mine.

Well done Lemons. Really sad for Sandsend but a great win for Bridge Andrews.
