Couldn’t agree more about Snow Falcon needing a stronger gallop. I was at Newbury when it was cantering when the race started hotting up. Not saying he would have beaten Uknowhatimeanarry, but would have definitely given him a race. At the prices I would have Snow Falcom over the favourite all day long. And in a proper race, not like the one earlier, his jumping should hold up better.

Yep good to see Snow Falcon back in the hunt. Went out to 60’s the other day and i thought he was out of it.

It will be interesting to see him off level weights as he was giving Harry 4 lbs and Shaneshill 5 today.

Certainly the faster pace could see him in with a bit of a decent outside chance.

Unowhatimeanharry out? Huge drift on the machine, last matched at 20

That was 10 days ago Zark. Bit of chinese whispers on the internet apparently. He was back to normal a few hours later.

Only problem is Noel Meade’s shocking record at Cheltenham!

Ballyoptic could do with a proper gallop as well. Could also do with getting a clear round in. Likely plodder but he’s not really had his ideal conditions at any point.

Don’t think he’ll run but I took some huge prices on Supasundae a couple of weeks back for this. Stepped up to 2m 4f he beat a very solid horse in Monksland. Might go Coral Cup instead but I thought he’d be interesting here. Also had a few quid on Cole Harden. Very very much doubt he’s good enough to win this, but could be a very nice in-running play if you get him at 60s+ now.

Supasundae declared over 2 miles tomorrow, which I’m a bit confused about. Either protect his Coral Cup mark (unless they’re here to get it down a bit) or step up in trip and see if he stays 3m? Anyway, probably goodbye £10.

    In those three races:
Beat Sportingportrait (who recieved 5 lbs) by 8 lengths.
Beat Jennies Jewel (who recieved 3 lbs) by 3 1/2 lengths.
Beat Clondaw Warrior by 1 1/4 lengths with VVM recieving 7lbs sex allowance from the winner.

Do you really think any of those races are as good as the form of:

An unlucky short head 2nd to Apples Jade (who recieved 4 lbs weight for age)? Or…
Beating Identity Thief by 1 1/4 lengths with VVM recieving 7 lbs sex allowance from the winner?

I swear some people just see what they want to see sometimes. ;-)

We’re not talking about whether she’s good enough though, are we Ginge? We’re talking about whether she’ll stay. I think the discussion is nonsense tbh.

Yes, it does matter. We’re talking about which race VVM should run in. If having better form at lesser trips and “not good enough at 3m” she should run/has a better chance at lesser trips/races.

I don’t understand what the purpose of that run was, unless they wanted to get his mark down. He got left for dead up the run in and jumped dreadfully and still finished 2nd. Run him in the Stayers!

Got a bit more before the race at 55s + 60s and my Stayers book is looking beautiful right now!

Just got back – I couldn’t believe how much Uknowwhatimeanharry had left in the tank! As the losing horses walked past the stand he was pulling BG arms out, ears pricked – reminiscent of Vautour after he won the JLT.

I think it’s more than fair to say that none of Shaneshill, Clondaw Warrior, Ballyoptic and Lil Rockerfeller can win this race.

Uknowwhatimeanharry, Jezki and Vroum Vroum Mag deserve their positions in the market. Question marks over whether Jezki/VVM run.

I’d give Snow Falcon a slight chance on good ground off a good gallop. I think he’s better than he’s been allowed to show.

Will TNO step up in trip? Seems doubtful to me.

    Where is One Track Mind?

Will Nichols Canyon step up in trip? I think they’d be mad not to personally, even if he wins tomorrow. I just don’t see the point of him running in the Champion Hurdle. Yorkhill would beat him over 2m.

Cole Harden could improve on better ground, but very difficult to envisage him finding enough improvement to beat Harry. Might nick a place, depending on who runs.

Can Agrapart win? Leap of faith needed to back him IMO. Bit of a ground dependent horse too.

I’d love to see Supasundae run over this trip. I think he could be a fly in the ointment. There’s still time, Jessica! Unless they run him in the Coral Cup, in which he’d be completely exposed, there’s no other race for him at the Festival. Surely after today they won’t try 2 miles with him again.

This race could look very different in one month if none of Nichols Canyon, Jezki, The New One, Supasundae and One Track Mind look like running, let alone Vroum Vroum. If none of those turn up, realistically Harry’s a 1/2 shot, and a good one at that.

Every time there’s a race this season I’ve gone against UKWIMH as I simply don’t believe he’s that good.

However, there’s nothing other than VVM and Jezki that have convinced me to choose them over the favourite. I’m not playing them two as the doubts of them are too big and I won’t play the favourite at 13/8.

A race, there’s not many at Cheltenham each year, that will be a play on the day ONLY race for me.

A weak renewal in prospect so UKWIMH probably wins. Think he’d be beaten every other year by something though.

Very surprised to see Vroum Vroum Mag drifting for this. Currently 25 to back. Something transpired since Doncaster? I’d be very surprised if she turned up elsewhere as they have plenty of able substitutes in those races.

I think if she ends up in the Stayers hurdle she will find one or two too good and it will take a proper stayer to beat UKWIMH and I don’t think she is. I am of the opinion she is best over 2 1/2 miles, so the Mares hurdle looks more likely to me.

UKWIMH is looking pretty formidable now, I haven’t backed him but I’m leaning towards getting involved. He travels so well in his races and always seems to find what’s required to win without really having to dig deep so it’s tough to know exactly how much more there is to come.

Its a similar situation to Thistlecrack last year he’s turning up and winning these races fairly easily but there are still doubters out there. I think I may wait until the day now if I am going to back him, does anybody think he’ll be any shorter?

I have picked an outsider out who may not even run but I’ve had a few quid e/w on Shantou Village with William Hill at 50’s money back if he doesn’t go to Cheltenham at all or free bet if he runs in something else. He may well run in the RSA or JLT or even a handicap but if he was to revert back to hurdles and turn up here I think 50-1 is a decent price.

Ruby Walsh’s Racing UK blog was a bit telling. He said Vroum Vroum would need to run better than at Doncaster to win the Mares’ Hurdle. Didn’t even mention another race.

Strong move on Vroum Vroum Mag in this. Into 10s from about 22s.
