Don’t be too hard on yourself Judge and don’t feel inclined to have to say well done to those that backed a winner. We all just want to talk horse racing for the love of it.
Try to be less jealous and be more envious, otherwise it will bring out the worst in you.
Play to your strengths and don’t mug yourself.
November 12, 2017 at 11:29 #1326456Well done Raymo (I can see you and Mrs Raymo jumping up and down now with your Doughnuts at the ready
) you saw the flat season out with the biggest smile ever
and well done to Jollif also.
Knew the fate of my horse from half way never going well.
@judge …don’t beat yourself up, size had nothing to do with Gosden’s horse not winning and the best horse won on the day.
Racing isn’t all about winning and if you find that that is all that matters it really is time to stop because it will eat away at your spirit (beating yourself up for losing) and your wallet. Just take out of the race what you have learn’t and come back with the winning horse for next year’s November Handicap, be positive. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 12, 2017 at 18:20 #1326521so near yet so far for chelsea lad , despite this defeat was great value and looks to have good chance of picking up a decent handicap next season kept to this distance or perhaps a little further
November 12, 2017 at 22:26 #1326559I thankfully backed Chelsea Lad several times because oddschecker kept saying the bet hadn’t gone through but, when I looked later, it had; only did it cause I’m fed up of ignoring VtC’s picks on numerous occasions and regretting it.
November 13, 2017 at 16:43 #1326601I really think Sir Chauvelin is going to run a cracker under Danny Tudhope. 1.
Has he finished yet?
Not my finest hour I must admit.

Top stuff Raymo, Joliff et al, didn’t Crowley do well after such a busy few days.
On a side note and what I really came on to ask is are people in favour if this becomes a mixed meeting as I’ve heard muted?
