I was worried that comment would reflect on this arguement.
The Irish comment was from other threads.
At least Yanworth is being considered by those yorkhill supporters here
Completely fine with people supporting yorkhill and I would actually say yorkhill has a better chance of beating Yanworth over 2 miles that 2 miles 4f.
There are some people who constantly just think Irish horses will win everything and will mention 4 horses in one race with potential and none are English totally blinkered. Not referring to you or zarkava on thatJanuary 29, 2017 at 13:22 #1284488Ok I’m curious now. What was the comment ?
He said MTOY was rated 9lbs higher than Consul De Thaix at this stage yet he couldn’t win the Supreme, so what chance did CDT have? As I said, a ridiculous comment. They’re different horses and running in different years against completely different horses.
I showed that Get Me Out Of Here was rated 5lbs lower than Consul De Thaix is when he won the Betfair, yet also managed to finish 2nd in the Supreme.
January 29, 2017 at 13:27 #1284490Ahhh ok well I must admit I never usually consider handicappers for grade 1s but I am tempted with brain power as it was so impressive to me. So from that I would have to consider CDT aswell
January 29, 2017 at 15:38 #1284532Petit Mouchoir supporters happy? Hmmm…did set a strong gallop but…he’s beaten Nichols Canyon twice…and that’s all he’s done…Buveur D’Air must go Champion Hurdle?
January 29, 2017 at 15:42 #1284535Good for those hoping Yorkhill goes Champion Hurdle IMO. PM was impressive there but I think from Wylie’s perspective he knows NC won’t reverse that form and Faugheen has had a poor prep / might not even go.

Who’s the only horse to have beaten ‘Faugheen’ Zark?

Is that the same Faugheen who having had the race run to suit beat Arctic Fire a diminishing length in the Champion Hurdle? Hardly a benchmark of greatness.

Why? And please don’t give me the Yanworth stuff from earlier: all of King’s horses were badly out of form last spring and Geraghty decided to go via Cardiff.

Because he’s beaten Petit Mouchoir twice over hurdles – in the Supreme and at Aintree.
Bit baffled as to why Faugheen solidified as favourite + Yorkhill drifted after that tbh. I’d have thought it increases the chances of Yorkhill running personally.
January 29, 2017 at 15:54 #1284547A better performance from Petit Mouchoir than the final winning distance suggests but I can see Yanworth swinging up on his outside down the hill at Cheltenham and kicking on clear approaching the last. With all that’s going on with Faugheen, Yanworth is looking like the most likely winner.

I understand where you are coming from with ‘Buvair’ Zark but TAPK knows a Great horse when he sees one,my fellow was just an ugly duckling back then.Today he clocked a time that he couldn’t dream of last year plus he hurdles at speed now.None of that stop/start stuff from last season…480’s is now 4/1

True; however, he’s been campaigned eexclusively over fences this season and, with Altior being considered for the Champion Chase and Min sidelined, he’d go to the Arkle with a very good shout. I don’t see Henderson switching him back to hurdles at this point.

Buveur D’Air also a different animal to last year. You see the way he destroyed Cloudy Dream on his debut? That was ridiculous. Not to mention he completely blew Wait For Me away on his hurdling debut. Very very exciting horse.
How much you got at 480?
January 29, 2017 at 16:31 #1284558betvictor still 66/1 on Footpad
He’s one that could take advantage if they go overly strong, even if only running past beaten horse and battling for a place.Blackbeard to conquer the World

25p…But I’ve got 460,440 and 410 too to way more pennies…
January 29, 2017 at 16:47 #1284568Lol ok, so you got him for about £2k then. Nice early spot, VtC also has close to 500s.
Very surprised to see Yorkhill available at 20s-25s after the Irish Champion. Baffled as to why people would lay him at that after NC got beaten for Wylie. Took the opportunity to get him onside. Ivanovich G was also there at 110s and 130s, which I also duly took. Need to get him onside wherever he runs.
Write L’Ami Serge off at your peril ;)

Well isn’t that a coincidence?
