I am happy with my three

    QASSEM 20/1
    LINGUISTIC 25/1
    BIG COUNTRY 14/1

I really think Qassem will love the ground the trip and is potentially well drawn too!!

Central Square could be the fly in the ointment for me so I had to have a small each way six places at 33/1

GOOD LUCK :good: :good: We will need it in this !!

GM Hopkins is my 8 places dart. Better than the result on quicker ground last year (prefers some cut) and unlucky not to be placed last time. Massive field cavalry charges are what he likes and I’ll be disappointed if he can’t give me some returns here.

I snoozed ante-post and missed the good prices on Thundering Blue so I haven’t done anything win-only.

Soldier, I’ve changed my GM Hopkins to each way as well.

He was very slow out the stall last years, possibly and still ran alright. He’s 5lbs lowers this year, better drawn, and his Sandown run shows there still loads of ability there. That 8 Places makes a huge difference and I had to have it.

CHELSEA LAD will do for me at 18/1 8 places
with Skybet. He’s no stranger to the course, having won over 7f and 1m, and
every chance there is more to come from him having been been gelded in July.
On the face of it his last run at York may not look that good, but I don’t
think he had the rub of the green in running and I’m expecting a better run
    here. I like his chances.

    I’m also having a bit of e/w on BRAVERY at 40/1. He’s
hardly set the heather alight recently, but as a consequence his mark has dropped
to 3lb less than his Lincoln win. David O’Meara loves to target these big
handicaps and Bravery is his only entry. Has this been, as Baldrick would
    say, a cunning plan B-)

I have to say mrsraymo backed it too!!
I should have paid heed to her she loves this race!!
She has now backed the winner five times this century including 100/1 40/1 and now 66/1 !!

Top notch Bobby, I’ve backed him in the past but didn’t even give him
a 2nd look in this. You were spot on from very early on :good:

Chelsea Lad was a bit of consolation for me in 4th.

Many many thanks guys, I appreciate it. I didn’t think he was doing it until Hoiles called him, absolutely over the moon with that one.

Cracking result Bobby. That’s the sort of result that buys plenty darts for later in the season.

I can’t understand people who back single figures in this type of contest. Thundering Blue and Big Country were silly odds.

Brorocco ran well in 5th but Big Country weakened disappointingly after being supported quite strongly. I tjought he was OK value at 16/1 but 7/1 was crazy.

The Tricast paid over £90,000 for a quid, so well done anyone who had the 1-2-3.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Simply brilliant Venture, my Bravery ran ok, I mistook him for Brorocco half way through the race as they have similar colours so was getting excited for a place! Not to be unfortunately but very well done.

Bobby where did you find that one, have you got Mystic Meg living in your back yard ;-) , really well done :yahoo: and to all who chose Chelsea Lad and anything that got placed even though Martyn Meade came in with the bigger priced winner.
Bet Richard Fahey was a bit sick about that one wasn’t Dolphin Vista with him at some point?

I followed the bookie Martyn of Leicester out of the racecourse and he was almost giving himself a hernia pushing his trolley to his van it was so full of cash, he told us he was having spam on toast for tea but didn’t believe a word of it. Jac x
