Hats off to you BOZLIKE, very well picked out, I hadn’t
considered him but he looked a very decent horse.

I can’t pretend I’m not gutted, I had BUYWISE from when
the book opened at 20/1 and then 16/1, and when he drifted
out to 14/1 today I had another stab at him. I thought at
one point his race was over and stopped looking for him
until he reappeared in the last couple of furlongs.

Anyway, that’s racing for you, if you can’t take a joke you
shouldn’t have joined, as they say.

I’m glad someone from here made out of it, very well
    dug out :good:

Yes well done Boz good to see at least one person here had the winner.

We’re used to that from Buywise aren’t we BigG

I thought today was finally going to be his day when they jumped the last but Annacotty stuck at it well in front and he could quite get there in time.

I knew you would be gutted too Tommy, although I didn’t feel
any the better for that, just meant we were both a bit in the
    doldrums.

It wasn’t all gloom and doom for me though, I had put SAUSALITO
SUNRISE in TRIPTYCH’s select three horses comp, and LEAVE AT DAWN
as my reserve and backed both. It lessened the blow, but BUYWISE
would have been a serious return. You win some, you lose some

Congrats to Bozlike. Thanks to VTC for mentioning Double Ross at the start of this thread several weeks ago, he`s featured in two nice each way doubles for me

It was great to see Annacotty come right back to his best, an Buywise will certainly enjoy his day in the sun.

The standout performance came from Sound Investment off 159. I mentioned in my earlier post that one 150-rated horse has reached the frame in recent years, but this was as good a performance as any considering the quality and depth this renewal offered. Three horses competed off the 150 mark or greater last year, yesterdays race boasted ten and the average rating of the field was 5lb higher.

If you take into consideration his Old Roan success and Paddy Power effort, that puts him right there as a potential Ryanair contender, particularly with a lack of apparently top class chasers over the intermediate trip. Paul Nicholls mooted the Grand Sefton as a target prior to yesterday, but this 7YO is clearly improving and I hope he is campaigned as a potential high class chaser.

Well done to Bozlike for finding the winner :-)

This guy is a machine. All he does is work out and pick winners. Talk about fit. You should see him without his shirt off, serious side of beef.

Well done Boz, he was one of the first I (confidently) discounted, nice one

Thanks Pilgarlic, gutted here, if he’d won he’d have been one of my biggest ever winners, he was a very strong fancy. They must surely be regretting his run at Ascot, where he got that 3lb rise, still, never mind, it probably wouldn’t have made much difference  Hopefully he’ll cover himself in glory at next months December Gold Cup, but I might be more interested in his stablemate, Little Jon.

Sorry it cost you VtC. Not sure he`s jumping with all his old aplomb but a bit more reliable than Little Jon, though I harbour hopes for him too
