Well done to everyone who opposed Rewilding; not good enough on the day, but done few favours by a hapless Dettori.
What goes on in your head that gives you the ability to come up with such nutty statements? No justifacation or reasoning just get on the keyboard at ratle it out is it?
Your comment makes the hair stand up on the back on my neck it’s like saying that guy on the moped rode a terrible race in the TT.
Frankie as well as most of the good judges in racing expected much more from the horse and rode him in exactly the same way as he did at York bringing him into a challeging position at just the right time. The horse for some reason never found anything it’s really as simple as that.
Just another hot pot that got beat, which incidentally stuffed me for a 5 timer but I’m damn sure it had nothing to do with Frankie.

I understand that ‘nutty statements’ fall in to your particular area of expertise, Fist, but I don’t think you’re one to judge following your glowing assessment of Graham Bradley.
Having already pointed out – twice – that Rewilding simply wasn’t good enough on the day, I think it’s fairly obvious that I’m not blaming Dettori for his defeat.
I’m struggling for ways to make that any more clear (though it helps if people read what has actually been written).
However, I don’t think Dettori ever had Rewilding in a position to challenge given the fierce pace Corsica set; whether he was capable of reproducing his Great Voltigeur performance or not. I therefore reached the conclusion that, whilst the horse wasn’t up to it, he wasn’t aided by the ride he received (much like at Epsom where, although not handling the track, he was given no chance by Dettori who failed miserably to cover Moore’s move on Workforce).
If I’m wrong, who cares? It’s just my opinion.
September 11, 2010 at 20:05 #317090frankie was scrubbing it along early in the race, had no chance.
thought snow fairy looked to be cruising, but didnt find anything. should of kicked sooner!
September 11, 2010 at 20:12 #317091So a filly who is normally held up for a late run, has an excellant turn of foot, not even bred for 1m4f let alone 1m6f+; should have been kicked on sooner?
Value Is EverythingSeptember 11, 2010 at 21:11 #317095For what it’s worth, the horse that looked to be travelling the best when everything else was under the shove was Joshua Tree. The winner didn’t run away from him as much as maintain the gap.
September 11, 2010 at 21:13 #317096I never really got a thrill with
Total Command
today and can see him dropping back to 11/2m,there is a listed race at Doncaster on November handicap day and i will give him another chance in lower company.I thought both Rewilding and Snow Fairy were badly ridden today, both held up way too far out the back and Rewilding in particular looked like he was being kept for another day!
It wont be the Arc mind!September 11, 2010 at 22:26 #317106Who would of thought with all the Sir Alex and Magnier quarreling that North Light would beat Rock Of Gibraltar to a Classic out of the Danehill sons.

yeh thats right, watch the race again and tell me he shouldnt have kicked sooner.
September 11, 2010 at 23:13 #317110Ed Dunlop’s dual Oaks winner Snow Fairy moved powerfully before running out of steam, eventually taking fourth.
Dunlop said: "She travelled like the best horse in the race and really it was a great run from a non-stayer.
"We will take her home and have a think about it (whether to run again this season)."

September 12, 2010 at 00:41 #317116Rewilding will be hurting after 12f either way..Midas was only prepping in the GV, godolphin had theirs running out of its skin, and he’s better fresh

Aye. But 2nd e/w doesn’t pay well enough.
Well done
Arctic backers, tbh I never really fancied him.

Your not blaming Frankie but your blaming Frankie…should have got Brad to ride it then you could have got stuck right in
September 12, 2010 at 14:48 #317211I read in the papers that there was an enormous gamble on the Fav. in the Leger the morning of the race. How to explain his running in the light of that gamble?Who backed him? What did they know?Where did it all go wrong? Will there be an investigation? After all surely a gamble which the Bookies cash in is just as worthy of investigation as one where the punters cash in? When the bookies win it is hum ho when joe soap wins there is uproar.
September 12, 2010 at 21:12 #317267A horse that disappointed me again yesterday as he did in the Derby, is Ted Spread. Went out like a light after tracking the pacemaker early on. Carried his head and tail in odd positions looking like something was hurting him. May be those who have worked in stables who are better judges than me on such matters (most people are) could have a look at the replay and give an opinion.
He looked a decent sort when he won at Chester, but not a thing since. Might be another chaser to come out of the race along with the winner when he gets sorted out.
September 12, 2010 at 21:59 #317274The runner-up at Chester has been beaten by a total of 54 lengths since and of the 37 horses he’s faced, he’s beaten only 12 home. They’re both just dogs.
