Back again. Going to go with one bet per day this year. One each way single stake will vary depending on funds and how much each selection is fancied.
Betting bank is £50.
Selection Monday 4th January
Alfredtheordinary 4.35 Wolver (14-1 – bog)
£1 each wayFirst run after a long break last time out and may just come on for the run and has every chance in a fairly open contest.
Tuesday 5th January
£1 each way Stagecoach Emerald 2.40 South (12-1 bog)
Ran ok last time having scooted up on his previous start. He has looked moody on both runs but does have a little ability (its a class 6 – hopefully only little ability required).Stagecoach Emerald = Unplaced
Bank c/f = £46
Thought the vibes were good when i seen he was sent off a well backed 5-1.
Friday 8th January
Dream Huntress 3.30 Ling (£1 e/w @ 11-1)
Ran well last time and has every chance from a low weight in an open handicap.Selection Sunday 10th January
Mintoe 3.20 Southwell – £1 e/w @ 16-1
Back after a long absence and stepping down in trip. Trainer had a winner recently at long odds and maybe lightning will strike twice! The rest in the race are no great shakes and 16-1 is a reasonable price – only down side is there is 7 runners. But we’ll give the e/w a bash nonetheless.Selection Monday 11th January

On a line through Taste The Wine he is overpriced and being well bred by Montjeu out of a Shirley Heights mare he has potential for progress off the back of a long absence. I reckon if he was still in the care of John Dunlop his odds would be much shorter.Tuesday 12th January

Wednesday 13th January
£1 e/w Narap 1.30 Southwell @ 40-1
One of only a handful of runners with experience which might count for a lot round Southwell. He didn’t exactly set the world alight on debut at Ayr but he comes from a stable/jockey/Owner combo (Chris Grant/Richie McGrath/Trevor Hemmings) that do have success in bumpers and in a race without any standout short price favourites he’s a hopeful each way selection at a huge price.Narap = Unplaced

Another stinking selection…all the more annoying as my other possible longshot has just won at 16-1 (and yes this is aftertiming on here).
Selection Thursday 14th January
Found a few I fancy today that I thought may be 10-1. But they aint. So no single today.
Sunday 17th January
A few possibles around today such as Hi Spec, Soliya, Ballydub and Scintillating. However most of them aren’t over 10-1 as hoped and so selection is:
£1 e/w Aconitum (16-1) 3.55 Ffos Las
Was 2nd 2 starts back to Raise you Five beaten just over a length at Fontwell. The winner has since gone in again easily at Towcester while Aconitum was pulled up. However, that P next to his form came just 5 days after that reasonable 2nd and is possibly excusable. The trainer had an all the way winner at Huntingdon yesterday which hopefully means his string are fit and the opposition today are no great shakes, fairly exposed and fairly inconsistent.Hope to get into profit sometime soon so need a winner! Aven a few placed efforts to keep save the balance from dropping further would be nice!
