Wish he was Sir Henry Cecil. What a fantastic result – he is just extra special with fillies. For Midday to go there and win after a long season and some tough races really shows what a wonderfully gifted trainer he is.

I’m very happy for Henry Cecil he deserves this win. Julien did not have Forever Together as close as he should going around the turn but she rallied very well for third. In the end she got beat by a better filly today and had too much to do. Now she’s off to the breeding shed and I wish her well.

YAY Informed Decision and Jonathan Sheppard who is having a very good day! Such a wonderful, wonderful man who is going to lose one of his stars to the shed this year.

No wonder Zenyatta never rain in the Distaff when you have a horse that can run like that, she destroyed them in the same way Zenyatta did.

Hopefully they dont flog Rainbow View to race in Hong Kong after her hard season although I hear she is staying in the US and has ran her last for Gosden.

Rainbow View was my pick but just didn’t have it today. I do like her a lot though. Life Is Sweet has been beaten by Zenyatta but boy she ran like her today!!!

Ouch!! thought Rainbow View was the lay of the day

She got hammered today by Life is Sweet who couldn’t blow wind up Zenyatta’s backside.

Surely that must tell the doubters that Zenyatta is one very special filly.

Mind you up until that race nothing was coming from behind and getting there and that was only because the jockey on the grey rode an awful race. He must have thought he was riding an AOB pacemaker or Pegasus.

I can see a sudden injection of pace from the likes of Twice Over and Summer Bird about 3 out and Rip Van Winkle heading them on the home turn so Mike Smith is going to have to be right on the ball and watch every move.

If both Zenyatta and Rip Van Winkle get clear runs it will be a sight to behold on the run to the line.

Aidan should do more long interviews. 40 minutes after coming off set from what i’m told was his first ever lengthy interview on American TV-he saddled Man of Iron for his first BC win for 6 years

Given their current form not a particularly brilliant start for Godolphin. Mastery, Sara Louise and Music Note all relatively disappointing. Not sure why Godolphin would use Dettori on their US horses? We all know he is best dictating from the front and how often has he done that at the Breeders Cup?

Very good ride from Queally to get Midday home as she was never really travelling. I think Negligee would be the one to take out of the juvenile. She went through the line with plenty left and if they can keep her straight I would fancy her to reverse this form when stepped up in distance.

O’Brien dosen’t have to make long appearances on tv to market his horses. People watching know what they’re buying. Man of Iron was sold before the race anyway to someone in Dubai.

Very good race by Quaelly. The decision to jock him off dosen’t look an inspired one.

Great stuff Badactor as usual. :D Love the Bo Derek and the Rainbow View. Agree about Landry’s ride – a bug boy on his first ride wouldn’t have made that mistake on an artificial surface.

A favour. If you read this before you get off to the races, can you get a good photo of Mine That Bird? Failing that, any chance of one of Joanne Kelly?

    Cheers Breezing.

My favourite horse of the season. :D

His trainer is super nice as well. Just a laid back kind of guy. I’ve seen Mine That Bird twice this year and the word cute comes to mind with him. He’s small and has a very pretty head. In fact he looks a lot like his sire. Summer Bird is just the opposite. Good size in stature and a more masculine head. Both can run though. ;D

Here is a pic of him a friend took of him yesterday. She’s a professional working the cup.

And also one shot from the inside of the marathon. No offense to Man Of Iron but I wish the result ended this way. ;D I was so hoping Cloudy got that photo. Just a bob of the head decided the outcome.
