Now with it being nearly september. The jumps season "proper" is fast approaching. I always look at some flat horses that could make a decent hurdler. Is there any middle distace or stayers on the flat you think that JP, Graham Wylie or anyone else could have as a novice hurdler. I think the Godolphin stayer, Scriptwriter could make it over hurdles after seeing him finish 3rd in the Ebor. After all he is a gelding, so there will be no stud career for him to look forward to. I hope Godolphin sell him at octobers horses in training sales. I sooner see him winter at Jackdaws Castle then in Dubai. So have any of you got a flat horse you would like to see switch codes?

August 31, 2007 at 17:05 #113180Very much admired the physique of Distinction at York – he had "hurdler" all over him but very much doubt he ever will. Similarly I’ve always looked at Gentleman’s Deal and thought NH but with his stallion duties, again not likely to happen. Can only dream what if..
August 31, 2007 at 17:27 #113182Tamimi’s History. Already been bought by Jim Ennis (from same source – Kevin Prendergast – as Faasel). Likely to go to Nicky Richards? Triumph Hurdle candidate (by same sire, Kalanisi, as last season’s winner). Alpine Eagle (Jessie Harrington) also a good prospective juvenile hurdler.
