I had an ew on The Secret Adversary yesterday after noticing a bit of interest in him on oddschecker.I want Bow Echo to win because I love him but I can’t find a horse that fits in with what I usually look far ( although I haven’t looked at the whole field yet).

I can’t see any particular edge at the front of the market. Looking for some each-way value Into The Sky 28/1 e/w 4 pl 1/4 is much more interesting than many lower priced. Time for his races puts him in the mix, particularly his convincing debut win, and should have learned from the experience when second in a more competitive race on his subsequent run.

Into The Sky looks all speed on breeding and be doubts if he can sustain it over a mile. I agree it looks wide open at the top of the market so may not be a stats and trends classic. Ive sided with Avicenna eachway, will be alot less tactical than the Craven, hopefully Ray can keep him up near the pace this time.

Thesecretadversary was the one I liked. Obviously loads of these are beautifully bred but St Marks Gleanagles mare cross caught my eye, seems to be improving with each run. Feels very open without the 2yo UK/Ireland Group 1 winners from Dewhurst, Racing Post Trophy, National Stakes. Can’t recall any renewals in the past where that happened.

Very keen to oppose Gstaad. Partly because Aidan just doesn’t seem to be able to train them for this these days. Partly because hes very quick on his pedigree and I think some of these others have more stamina without being slow themselves, if they have the requisite class. Won the mile in America but that is much more speed favouring than the Rowley Mile.

Thanks Mike. As you can see I haven’t studied the race this year! Mind you it does bode well for his run today and I’m hoping for a place.

Avicenna’s finish in the Craven reminded me vaguely of the George Washington clip earlier in the Morning Show and he certainly looked like he might strip fitter next time so I’ll join his fanciers for the value ride.

Wouldn’t be basing my calculations on the Dewhurst alone about the 5/2 favourite

All looks a little uninspiring, not sure if its just me
Bow Echo looked a solid enough 2 y/o and looks about the pick
