    2 00 catterick

    Ew -OUR DAVE @11/1

I believe this runner should be clear favourite here and no bigger than evens.
I expect it to comfortably win here but at 11/1 quarter the odds I have done it Ew.

A big shock for me if anything can beat it today though so thought I would share.

Channon has a very strong record in 2yo sellers (around a 1/3 win) and that fact combined with his runner having the highest OR in the line up is why his filly is odds on.
Channon isnt having the best of seasons this year with his 2yos.
ENJOY THE MOMENT is by Captain Gerrard and the offspring generally do not like soft ground, on top of that she is unlikely to stay 7f on testing ground. A big surprise for me if she can win and I doubt the heavy odds on shot can even make the top 2.

David O Meara has the 2nd fav, he has only had the one winner of a 2yo seller in tbe last 5 years.
Schmuli is by Swiss Spirit and is likely to hate todays ground conditions and is another who is unlikely to stay 7f especially on soft ground.

Champagne Victory and Fulbeck Rose are big priced outsiders and both fillies should struggle.

For me the race is a battle of the boys and it would be a big shock if either OUR DAVE or GRIMBOLD didnt win this.

OUR DAVE is likely to show massive improvement on what he has shown so far due to the soft ground and first time visor.
The son of due dilligence who is knocking out 2yo soft ground winners for fun, Our daves mother was also a winner on soft ground.

Keep your eye on Karl Burkes horse but i cant see any other dangers. 11/1 ew looks an absolute gift.

Forum know it all ginger was crowing on about the form of the John Quinn yard on saturday and how bad it is.

Quinn is 0/19 in the last 2 weeks this is true though 6 of the 19 have come 3rd and 7 of the runners were double figure odds upto 40/1 and ran as they should of done. There is actually no problem with the form of the quinn yard amd over the last 6 weeks they are 5 wins from 30 runners with the 2yos.

The team fully expect that to be 6 wins from 31 after this race.

Bold shout, spud. Recent Timeform comments of “looks poor at this stage” and “has shown zero ability to date” perhaps a little harsh.

I’m pumped for a potato v Sleepy Hollow showdown!

I think that was comparable to that free kick Roberto Carlos scored against England a few years ago. Nice one Potato :good:

Thank you gentlemen far too kind. Did it very nicely in the end and spreadeagled the field. The myth about the quinn stable being out of form can be put to bed ;-)

    hello Jack

a certain poster called me a fraud and one to beware of, even though had a thread on here DLAP which showed a very healthy profit over a year. So at my age thought best leave as i dont need that sort of Agg. Still look in and see how all you lot getting on and cheer on your selections. Will miss the Meydan thread come January but didn’t need someone telling me that I dont know what i’m doing and i could lead people down the wrong path. lol

Nice winner, Potato; very well done. :good:

Think you got the wrong impression of my thoughts on John Quinn’s form, my friend.

Forum know it all ginger was crowing on about the form of the John Quinn yard on saturday and how bad it is.

What I actually said was QUOTE: “One negative that makes him just a saver for me rather than main bet is Trainer John Quinn. Good trainer, but is not quite at the level of form he was when Safe Voyage ran the last twice”.

In other words: John Quinn is NOT in bad form. But is just not in the excellent form he was when Star Voyage ran in Ireland and (particularly) when showing his best form at Haydock.

…And in my experience when a horse shows a career best at a time when the trainer is in exceptional form (having horses at their peak condition)… that particular horse will subsequently often not run to quite that rating if the trainer is no longer in exceptional form. ie I was making the point there was a possibility of Safe Voyage being just a few pounds below that Haydock form… Safe Voyage finished third in the Hungerford, a little below his Haydock best.

So I actually agree with you Potato, when saying: Quinn is 0/19 in the last 2 weeks this is true though 6 of the 19 have come 3rd and 7 of the runners were double figure odds upto 40/1 and ran as they should of done. There is actually no problem with the form of the quinn yard

…But I was comparing that to when Safe Voyage ran in the John Of Gaunt:
Safe Voyage part of a treble for the trainer on 8th June (only two runners that mised out were 40/1 and 33/1. Of 13 runners prior to 8th June 5 ran excellent races: A 4/1 shot beaten 2 lengths, an 8/1 shot beaten a neck, a 2/1 winner, a 14/1 shot beaten a neck and a 16/1 winner. ie 5 winners in 18 runners and many others to go close all at reasonable or good prices.

But again, well done with Our Dave and look forward to more Potato winners. :good:

A few years ago, try about 25….
    Think it was against France
Ronaldihno scored a good freekick against England about 18 years ago

Anyway what a great shout from Potato…. :bye:

A very special racehorse running at kempton this evening.
I have put it onto this thread as I will try and keep thais thread to a high level winning strike rate with occasional bets that I believe has an outstanding chance of winning on this one. The other thread is more sellers, claimers, amateur races, apprentice races, 2yo etc ie the races that most put there noses up at and sneer. Other thread is for something a bit diferent this one is HIGH STRIKE RATE WINNING

The team mean business if a horse features on this thread. :rose:

    6 15 Kempton

    WIN-IMHOTEP @ 100/30 (bet365)

They make the Stoute horse 4/7 heavy odds on favourite but I can see one winner only of the race and it is IMHOTEP.

Somebody phone 999 and get me an ambulance if this doesnt win because
I will have fainted.

Surely IMHOTEP wins doing somersaults :yahoo:
