5 furlong sprint handicap, 13 runners declared.
Stalls 10, 11, 12 and 13 all now non runners.
A pure coincidence, of course.
June 14, 2025 at 12:12 #1732981…and the only non runner in the 3.20 is stall 9 of 9…
June 14, 2025 at 12:16 #1732984I don’t suppose anything can be done about it but it is farcical.
I wonder how many non runners there have been from stall 1 over the years?
June 14, 2025 at 13:22 #1732997The mystery is why Chester insist on running so many 5F races, when everybody knows that a wide draw from that start is an almost impossible task. They have perfectly good starts at 5.5F and 6F which do provide slightly fairer racing.
The 6F race today still has 13 runners after the one drawn 14 was taken out.
June 15, 2025 at 00:55 #1733050Only certain amount of runs in a prep why waste one if drawn wide if dont suit horse . If you have to find the lead its a lot of work from 13 on the turns , however that amount of scratchings does seem a lot .
