Don’t normally play during the week, but had some time last night to look at this race.
Uig and Gramada should ensure a decent pace to the race. Although I feel both won’t be good enough to win, Uig may stay on for a place.<br>Desert Island Disc would ideally like further.<br>I can’t have Sand and Stars until she shows a little more, she has performed fairly creditably fresh in the past. She seems on a fair mark for the start of the season.<br>Shauna’s Vision, up in class and 7 lbs higher than her last win and 16 lbs higher than her last turf win. Not good for me.<br>Quizzical Question’s stable are in good form (important) and Luci boasts an impressive course strike rate but her maiden win is not working out. The step up in trip will help, but her mark of 76 looks tough enough against some of these.<br>This leaves Simonda and Spinning Coin.<br>Spinning Coin looks most at home over 12f, she should also be suited by todays race conditions. Her decent appentice pilot will take a further 5 lbs off her already slipping mark. She may however, have to play second fiddle to Amanda Perrett’s Simonda. This emphatic winner of a weak Bath maiden was a winner off a 3 lb lower mark first time out last season, then contested some decent events. This race looks weaker and a strong pace with help her cause.
