Gonna fire a shot out of the cannon here and nominate Atasari for a good run. She has form only a neck behind Music Show yet that filly is 1/10th of the price

The way Bolger’s are running I’d expect both his to put up huge efforts.

Totally agree, THM. Was looking at her last night wondering why she was so big.

Not often you’ll see an O’Brien first string at 11/1 for an Irish Classic, and

    Lillie Langtry

is surely better than her price suggests.
Her form last season stacks up well considering she was injured in the BC and didn’t act on the ground in the Moyglare, and her racecourse gallop suggests she’ll be more ready for this than AOB would have us believe, so a win and place bet could well bear fruit.
Music Show had a hard race lto, is uncertain to stay imo, and comes from a stable not famous for consistent horses, so a place lay should cover any liabilities.

    Hello,

As long as she doesn’t get a jockey’s whip across her bonce I can see LADY DARSHAAN running a 8) big race..

She is that price for a reason. How could anyone be confident that she is going to run any better than Steinbeck did yesterday. It is complete guesswork. For me she might win but she is effectively running for the bookmakers.

I don’t think too much can be read into Murtagh choosing Lillie Langtry, which was more than obvious, really.

    I like her stablemate,

    Remember When

. She put up a really nice performance behind the talented Chinese White last time out, reversing form with her debut conqueror by 5L in the process. That was only the second start of her career – her first this season – and she is sure to improve further.

Closely related to Dylan Thomas and Queen’s Logic, she should go really well at a big price

    Lady Darshaan

should appreciate the return to a quick surface and she was most consistent against some good fillies last year. Worth another chance at decent odds.

Couldn’t resist the 33/1 for Atasari

and lady Springbank. Let’s see if I can get another 1000gns winner disqualified….

I think the best filly has definitely finished second. Ajtebi hit the front too soon and then couldn’t keep her straight. He isn’t a Group 1 jockey. Iffy ride by Moore on the favourite. Having broke well eased her back too far and was never going to get there. Great result for the bookmakers.

My initial impression is that you’re right about the second. I was really impressed by her performance last time, but the switch from Fabre was a worry.

She possesses a really smart turn of foot and is one to watch for the future, taking nothing away from the winner, who maintains her unbeaten record this season and is clearly progressive.

A nice effort from Music Show – clearly gets the mile well. Remember When looks the one to follow when stepped up in trip. She still looked a bit green at the business end and it wouldn’t surprise me if she turned out to be the smartest of the lot.

Well done to anyone who backed the winner.

Music Show was given every chance by Moore, close enough if she wanted to close off a pace strong enough for her to do so.

Ajtebi positioned his filly well came to win his race and got nabed on the line. What more can a jockey do? Should he stay at the back get blocked and complain that he was "unlucky"??

Thought that Smullen was pure class today and that Beterah should take all the beating in the Coronation at Ascot; Either her or Lilliside is she turns up.

The only Filly with true class in that race was Remember When. A "special performance" it truly was. Had a horrific passage and was been pushed at the 3f pole. She is simply pure class. Can’t wait to see her next race…not sure will she stay the Oaks as she had plenty of dash when Colm Pushed the button and sire has to be a worry but then again maybe not.

The winner was very good on the day and was unlucky to win by a head given she had to be snatched up in running and prob worth a good deal more.

Would you actually back Beterah for the Coronation because this form as she goes very close (beat Music Show)

‘If’ you read form in the literal sense then take the last two runs of ‘Dolled Up’ for form lines that tie all three Guineas together!

Make of it what you will!

Having backed Remember When for the place, it would seem to be beneficial to all for Music Show to be placed behind her. After all, a Guineas which doesn’t have the result changed is not really worth it’s salt. Maybe if Criquette had been seen wandering round the paddock the stewards would have changed the result – or maybe even just some croquettes.

Most of us are ‘guessing’ when it comes to the readiness of AOB’s seasonal debutants, as you’ll see from many threads on the same subject. However, the fact that she was the stable jockey’s chosen, plus they had bothered to give her a racecourse gallop, suggested she might be overpriced.
Wrong, in this instance, though not by much, and would have been correct (at least, for the place part) in just a few more strides.
I can live with that, can you?

    I still believe

    Music Show

is the one to beat in the Coronation Stakes, she will be better suited to Ascot than Special Duty, the trouble is after yesterday,i believe Lillie Langtry poses an even bigger threat. No doubt she will come on a ton for that and had Johnny actually put her in the race proper, she could have won! Eyecatcher of the week for me!
