I don’t understand it, and I don’t think I ever will. The Cecil horse seemed to have won it nicely, and its my belief that it has to be pretty much guaranteed that she stopped the other horse winning, which was not the case.
I feel so sorry for the owner, jockey, trainer, all of whom looked inconsolable (especially after Cecil’s near miss in the Oaks last year). Brings to a close an awful weekend for British flat racing.
