NEVER ENDING STORY 40/1
She won really well at Curragh and after the race being talk about races like Debutant and
Moyglare stakes. And be better when get a lead She looks a smart horse.June 25, 2022 at 19:57 #1604140Ferrari Queen was impressive just now.
Only a debut win so would have to see her in a better class of race but on pedigree distance would be no problem to herMeditate deserves to be favourite at this early stage, really good at Ascot

June 25, 2022 at 20:08 #1604141I think Meditate clocked a decent time at Ascot.

Green; ran on nicely from the back in the Albany.
June 26, 2022 at 11:33 #1604321Did a bit of digging the other day, mainly on Aidan in recent runnings of this
Going by recent renewals the key 1000 guineas trial is very much the fillies mile (the moyglare a close second)
Just not always the actual winner
last 4 winners Hermosa, Love, mother earth and cachet all beat in the fillies mile and won the guineas
Then you have Lauren’s and Rhodedendron who won the 2 renewals before those 4 and finished second in the Guineas
And Minding the year before who went on to win the guineas
Both (meditate and statuette) look to have plenty of speed in there pedigree, could be early season types (meditate more so)
No guarantee come the moyglare and fillies mile they will still be aidans best fillies
of the two id be more inclined toward statuette as she should stay better than half sister tenebrism being by justify
But his 1000 guineas horse may not have even run yet or could have been beaten in a maiden in the last few weeks
One thing i have noticed is that 5 of Aidans last 6 1000 guineas winners made their debut in or after june
Same for his 2000 guineas winners
Magna Grecia September
Saxon warrior August

July 21, 2022 at 07:24 #1607955Apricot Twist (Juddmonte/Ger Lyons) made an eye catching winning debut at Naas last night and earned a 33/1 quote.
She does not have any entries but I doubt she would have been quoted at 33/1 if she came from Ballydoyle.
July 21, 2022 at 09:17 #1607958CAS, Lyons said last night on TV their policy is not to enter in early closer races…they are happier to supplement when the evidence is shown on the track.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 21, 2022 at 10:11 #1607961From what I’ve seen so far from this seasons two year olds I’m taking a chance with..
Mawj – 25/1By Exceed and Excell (Danzig) out of a New Approach mare she is progressing nicely with each race and she’s proving a pretty tough cookie to beat judging by her last race against Lezoo on the July Course at Newmarket.
No definite entry yet but if she continues to improve can see her lining up for this one. She holds future entries in the Lowther Stakes next month and the Moyglare at the Curragh in September.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 24, 2022 at 21:04 #1608419Agree with CAS, as posted above: Apricot Twist dotted up at Naas the other day. Probably didn’t beat much but was in a different league to the others.
By Expert Eye out of a listed winner at a mile, she should stay the trip and I look forward to her next appearance with relish; I’ve had an e/w nibble at 33s with Unibet.
July 25, 2022 at 14:21 #1608483Statuette 11-1
July 26, 2022 at 00:57 #1608618Dower House could be worth watching tomorrow at galway
Big drifter on debut And ran accordingly
Full sister to Churchill would be no surprise to see significant improvement
Dermot Weld runs tahiyra who is a half sister to tarnawa too
July 26, 2022 at 17:06 #1608812“Both (meditate and statuette) look to have plenty of speed in there pedigree, could be early season types (meditate more so)”.
Curragh trainer quote Statuette:
She’s a very big filly and we were only training her three-quarters ready because we had our eye on the last part of the season. With that type of filly if you train them too hard you wouldn’t have her at the end of the season where you want her.
July 26, 2022 at 17:10 #1608815You believe any word the coolmore head horse salesman says?
I take anything aidan says with a pinch of salt given his job
I’m sure she’s a lovely mover with a great mind though
July 26, 2022 at 17:13 #1608819Mike- that quote is obviously fake. It doesn’t start with “Listen”, there’s no mention of “the lads” and he doesn’t say “she’s always shown a lot of speed”.
July 26, 2022 at 17:16 #1608822Didn’t say which Curragh trainer
perhaps she has moved yardsGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 26, 2022 at 17:18 #1608823FF91 so you saying Statuette has been operating at near 100% then? ;o)
Lol Gladiateur.
July 26, 2022 at 17:19 #1608826Watched the Apricot Twist race again earlier and have joined Glad in the ante post gamble.
The manner in which she won makes me think she must be capable of winning in Group company.
My only concern is Lyons has a dismal record in Britain and he may try to talk Juddmonte into saving her for the Irish Guineas instead, assuming she is good enough.
