I notice DM won @ 4.04.
I’m changing the staking slightly for this.
10 units per race, 8 win onbold
, 2 win on the other.

June 16, 2010 at 10:08 #301055Hi Emian….. that was a couple of good winners yesterday, well picked….. I note that your betting on a 2pt and 8pt basis, I would have thought that the most profitable bet would be a straight "dutch"…… it’s easy enough to either dutch to a fixed stake (risk) or to dutch to make a fixed profit, I prefer the latter…… if your selection method is as good as it looks, a decent staking plan will surely be the way forward….. I just dont think the 2/8pts will show as much profit as a dutch…… it’s my opinion only, others may have better ideas…..

June 17, 2010 at 11:18 #301442Thanks for your opinion MrE. Much appreciated.
I like having the bigger stake on the bigger price as opposed to a straight dutch. There is more value with bfsp longer prices. I suppose I could compromise and go 6-4 though.

I’m very much tempted to have a large place only bet on KW too.June 17, 2010 at 22:29 #301630Hi Emian…. I always try not to let greed get in the way of my betting…. if I have more profit from horse A than I will from horse B, then that scenario lets emotion into the equation…. that’s because I will always be wanting the "outsider" to win and I’ll swear like a good ‘un when the selection that I’ve only got £2 on wins instead of the one thats got £8 on…… it is only a personal thing, but I much prefer to win the same amount no matter which horse wins….. but as I said, that’s only a personal thing….
You are doing great the way your betting at present, but it’s always warming to have other strings to your bow…. at least by listening and noting all the comments made, you will be in a position to pick and choose ideas to suit yourself….. nice one Emian, this appears to be going OK at present, I hope it keeps up…… and if some of this doesn’t make sense, please ignore me…. it’s cos I’m on the "sauce"….. well, it is 11.30pm and I’m entitled to my nightcap….. lol….

Here are the top 3-4 per race without a staking recommendation.

I am not in a position to see the wood for the trees, but just having a quick peak, I did notice that from your top two rated in all 4 races, you had three winners from the 4 races…. and at super prices…. if your results are always this good, then dutching to a sensible staking plan could be the way forward, it does appear so….
The possibility remains that you can actually have two separate betting banks for each selection (column A and column B) and use a staking plan for each column, that way you are building two separate banks and both could be equally profitable….. all angles are worth considering…..

June 19, 2010 at 11:51 #301960Thanks again MrE. Yep, I’ve been ‘skew’ dutching for quite some time. I always aim to win a bit more with the higher priced selection. I use a percentage of my bank per race and ratchet regularly.
