If you have not seen this I recommend watching a replay.

Dreal Deal, as big as 20/1 this morning, was backed all day and went off 6/4 favourite. He almost unseated his rider at the first but still came there swinging on the bridle and bolted up. How much did he have in hand?

This horse had never placed in all his other starts over hurdles. His last run was on the Flat in a 7f handicap, where he was unplaced at 100/1.

The stewards have to ask where did this improvement come from?

Not sure what sort of money it takes to affect an egg and spoon race market to that extent, but someone has clearly had right touch here.

No doubt the trainer is ‘officially’ baffled by the massive market move.

I think we can conclude that he was a little bit of a certainty that day ;-)

Well, I guess the stable knew what kind of potential he had. It still makes them look like fools when all of a sudden he wins the Moscow Flyer after messing around in handicaps.

I guess he might be a late maturing type, as he is only just 6 years old.
    Good luck to them anyway!

Funny that he was an enormous drifter today too

Was expecting a complete non trier

My guess is the race was so poor he won when they didn’t want or expect him to

No way this yard would let a horse go off 22/1 if they fancied it

“No way this yard would let a horse go off 22/1 if they fancied it”

I backed him at 16s late on because it was a silly price given what he had achieved thus far. He went to 22s late on.

They needed this race for entry into certain races, now they have it.

I didn’t know until after, that pricewise had put it up last night. (My finger isn’t exactly on the pulse!)
That is good news because the industry now ignore his selections. His Sunday write ups have been good.
Perhaps it reflects just how much people are gambling on the spins and the myriad of other games they have online. Bookmakers casino profits far outweigh horses.
