Part of the issue was godolphins boycott of coolmore stock for years. That let coolmore get their hands on a good number of horses that godolphin didnt buy at auction. Plus the coolmore guys know their onions when it comes to breeding. Their purchase of wootton bassett didnt lokk an obvious one to make but boy has it paid off. In the short term but also very much in the long term with even more great outcrosses to their incredible band of galileo mares. Remember it was only a gentlemans agreement with juddmonte stooped them having frankel too. I dont find it boring as im just interested in seeing good horses,wherever they are trained.
Will be at chester where obrien doesnt seem to have as strong a team as the last 2 seasons. Btw watch out for causeway. Looks very much like paddington mk2 the way he is coming forward. By wootton bassett of course.
