I never really understood why horses that struggle regularly in novice hurdles after just four or five flights are still allowed to compete. Why? How can this be good for the sport.
It doesn’t happen in trotting for instance where horses have to qualify and run the full distance under a certain time limit. Why can’t this be applied to thoroughbreds? It would help the breeding industry a lot to be more selective right from the start.
