Does anyone believe Starmer wouldn’t have done his pious and high and mighty routine, saddling up his moral high horse and demanding the Prime Minister’s immediate resignation?
No but let’s also not pretend that the reaction of the media would be exactly the same as it is now. When the Tories were in power it was always somebody else’s fault. Numerous examples of the party itself and their press chums blaming anyone but themselves when things went wrong. I think it was the ‘left wing financial markets’ that were at fault at one point.
