If the demons in his head have been exorcised, if he then puts in a clear round, if he is still somewhere near the same horse that we last saw in the 2024 Christmas Hurdle, which you could argue a repeat of still might not be good enough to win.
There are simply too many ifs about him in a field where most of his rivals also have ifs……only just not as many as he does. Sadly the 170+ horse of his pomp is a ship that has sailed never to return and he will likely go down in racing history as a horse that for two short years burned as the brightest star around but burnt out just as quickly into the realm of ‘imagine what he might have been’.
