There was a good tribute before yesterday’s game to Tony Field and Eric Redrobe. The players certainly did them proud yesterday.
I heard a few Geordie sounding accents when I was halfway into my train journey home. Then I remembered South Shields had been playing Marine that afternoon. It sounded like they enjoyed it, especially as Shields equalised in the 98th minute!
South Shields play Fylde on Tuesday night. If they win, they will be in a very strong position. Maybe they could soften Fylde up as well, ahead of their FA Trophy game with Southport next Saturday!
