Almost always all good, Ginge, and I’ve had many hours entertainment reading the different views of you and the lads. For example, I’ll be looking forward to checking in for the Becher next week.

So, hence my surprise at the level of contribution from one new quarter. Anyway, enough said.

    Good luck!

I’ve been tuning in here (the Big Race forum) for a good few years without feeling the need to comment. Usually I back my own picks and then have a look to see if any of the regulars here are in agreement, for a bit of pre-race moral support you could say.

So, as a fairly impartial onlooker I must say the tone of proceedings seems to have been dragged down a few notches (or whatever tone is measured in on Bang and Olufsen equipment) in recent times. As my choice Go Conquer was a non-runner, therefore, my primary interest in this race was to see Dingo Dollar lose. Result.

    I like the look of

    Theatre Dance

. He’s won at the course (off a mark of 134) and carries a feather weight tomorrow. It looks as though he may have been difficult to train but he has been campaigned this season as though being lined up for something (one run over hurdles and one run over inadequate trip). The booking of Timmy Murphy is obviously a big plus in a staying chase and the stable is in good form.

At the time of writing he’s 43/1 on Betfair which is too big to ignore.

Good man Tuffers. I was starting to think I was on my own thinking that (doesn’t hurt the odds I suppose). Apart from what you’ve said he’s also got a clean record in the F and PU stakes. Still 33s with PP and paying five places.
