    Today only one jumps meeting.

At Fakenham the trainers i like the best are Nicky Henderson, John Ferguson and Lucy Wadham.

In the 2.20 Paul Nichols talks very highly of WONDERFUL CHARM and i like FIRST IN THE QUEUE in the 2.50 both short prices, but perhaps a win double would be the bet.

In the 3.25 i like WIESENTRAUM each way, currently 8-1 with the main threat being FORGOTTON GOLD.

Yesterday’ results – 1 WINNER, 2 placed and one fell at the first hurdle! I did say Nicky Richards should be respected at Carlisle and he had 2 winners!

13 WINNERS in the last 2 weeks have been highlighted in this section, including 3 winners yesterday and a 10-1 placed horse flagged up for each way consideration.

At Carlisle Sue Smiths runners need serious consideration especially in class 4 handicap hurdles. Nicky Richards is another trainer who does well at the Cumbrian track.

At Ludlow Evan Williams runners are to be respected, also Venetia Williams has a really good record at this track, but her horses tend to do well when the ground is particularly soft.

Nicky Henderson, Alan King and John Ferguson’s runners always demand respect and the horses i will be considering today are:

    WOODBANK – 3.45 Ludlow

CURZON LINE – 2.40 Ludlow with Evans Williams DEVILS DYKE being the main danger

    HOLLOW PENNY e.w. 3.35 Southwell

    COUSIN GUILLAUME 4.40 Southwell

Colin Tizzard has a good record at Fontwell as does Anthony Honeyball especially in bumpers, Tizzards horses OHIO GOLD AND DARK DESIRE are both running in very competitive races, and i couldnt rule out FOX APPEAL OR HERONRY IN THE 4.00, and id have to consider SHANTOU MAGIC in the 3.25, however i would be considering Honeyball’s bumper runner ROUQUINE SAUVAGE.

Other horses i like today are: IN THE MIDNIGHT in the 4.20 at Worcester, and one at a bigger price i like each way is: COCABONANA in the 4.30 at Fontwell it is currently 9-1.

Statistics for Exeter: P. Hobbs has won the 3.10 4 times and had 2 seconds i the last 9 years so HORIZONTAL SPEED is to be considered.

Evan Williams and Jon Jo O’Neill have a good record at the track, i cannot ignore anything the very inform Emma Lavelle sends out at the moment, and i like THE POTTING SHED in the 4.40

Another interesting pointer is Hughie Morrison has won the bumper at Exeter with 3 out of 4 runners, so CARRAIG ROCK is worth a look in the 5.10

One of my EYECATCHERS that i said watch out for when it runs in its first nursery runs today. The David Barron trained FIRECRUISE runs in the 2.10 at Pontefract ridden by R. Winston, maybe worth considering each way, its currently 10-1

My statistics at Cheltenham today highlight the following horses:
2.00 OSCAR MAGIC with a consideration for AERIAL, and i always respect Martin Keighley at Cheltenham so couldnt rule out CREEPY

2.35 EASTER METEOR whose trainer Emma Lavelle is in cracking form.

3.10 SAMETEGAL is my first choice with HANDAZAN considered for the forecast.

3.45 BALTHAZAR KING, my first choice with TOURS DES CHAMPS my close second choice, and MISTER GREZ considered for a combination exacta

At Kelso, i always have to respect runners sent to the track by Twiston Davies, he has 3 runners today and i would give particular attention to FOUNDRY SQUARE, i see his main rival being IMPERIAL VIC.

My two strongest selections at Kelso are SEATTLE DRIVE who is the only runner for Pipe at the Scottish track, and MYSTEREE trained by Lucinda Russell, they may seem short prices, but i like doubles when ive got two strong ones at short prices as it represents more value.

CHELTENHAM today looks very tricky and very competitive, this is a meeting i like to follow the trainer Twiston Davies, i like his PURE SCIENCE in the 2.10, although i couldnt rule out SAINT ROQUE and VIKING BLONDE each way in the 3.15. Henry de Bromhead does well here so i will be considering SIZING SYMPHONY in the 3.50 and finally i like FOXCUB in the 5.30.

Today i like Twiston Davis horses at Uttoxeter, i particularly like LITTLE POP each way at 2.30 in the 3.00 there is a question mark about the distance for his runner however i like QUINDER SPRING, at Wincanton i like MY BROTHER SYLVEST in the 3.20.

I think the card at Wetherby is very competitive today, I like Sue Smith in chases at the track so id have to consider STAGECOACH PEARL dropping in class if he is ready first time out this season.

My strongest statistic of the day would be McCain runners ridden by Maguire in novice hurdles so im very interested in WILD CARD.

I also think Longsdon and Twiston Davis horses are worth considering in chase races.

Trainers i like at Huntingdon are John Ferguson and Tim Vaughan, im interested in the Ferguson trained BEACHFIRE in the 3.20 but i couldnt totally rule out NO NO CHARLIE mainly because it is trained by the hottest trainer around, Charlie Longsdon, and in the 3.50 my preference is for the Longsdon horse LOUDMOUTH, with the Tim Vaughan horse BUCKING THE TREND as its main danger. Any horse trained by Charlie Longsdon is worth consideration at the moment as he is in such good form.

Ffos Las today trainers i like at this track are Peter Bowen, Evan Williams, Jon Jo ONeill and Nigel Twiston Davis. All of which are in good form right now, horses im particularly interested at the Welsh track today are MIDNIGHT MINX at 2.15, trained by the very in form Anthony Honeyball, FRONTIER VIC at 3.15 trained by Twiston Davis, my other interest is BOMBARDERO in the 4.30

EYECATCHER result for Saturday 12th ASTAIRE WON 8-1 and HOT STREAK second at 5-1 in the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket, as previously mentioned if Hot Streak trains on he is one to follow next year in 5f sprints – physically he looks like the perfect 5f sprinter and he is running as good as he looks and i think there will be more to come from him next year.

The Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket is of particular interest as 2 of my EYECATCHERS which i flagged up the first time i saw them, are taking part. ASTAIRE AND HOT STREAK, i think they both deserve respect, my opinion is that ASTAIRE has the better chance, as i think the ideal distance for HOT STREAK IS 5f. However they do have some tough competition is Great White Eagle and Supplicant.

My Statistics show that Paul Nichols is the man to follow at Chepstow, i like him best in non handicap races. In the 2.25 he has won 4 out of the last six runnings and has KELTUS.

In the 3.00 i like KILLALA QUAY trained by the red hot Charlie Longsdon, the ones i fear most are ROLLING MAUL and JIGSAW PUZZLE.

If doing a placepot at Chepstow i would always consider horses that have performed well at the course as it is very much a horses for courses track.

I also like BERKLEY BARROW in the 3.35 at Chepstow.

Hexham is another horses for courses track Lucinda Russell is in good form and does well at the course. In the 4.00 i would have to consider DELIGHTFULLY, and see SILVER DRAGON as the main danger, and my main selection at hexham is in the 4.30 FLYING DOCTOR.

Evan Williams does well at LUDLOW so i would give his runners a close conderation today, however my strongest selection of the meeting is PLANETOID trained by Jim Best who is progressive and ridden by McCoy who has a good record at the track.

Although i couldnt rule out the Evan Williams trained ON TOUR in the bumper at 5.10, one of my strongest statistics is when Rebecca Curtis teams up with McCoy, so id have to strongly fancy STORMBAY BOMBER.

I find it much easier finding winners at TOWCESTER when there is cut in the ground, as that final hill takes no prisoners, and horses for courses come into their own. My strongest selection at the meeting is HAIL TIBERIUS, who has looked very impressive and progressive on his last two outings, Martin Keighley does well at Towcester and one of the statistics is, he has a good record turning out horses again within 7 days. I also think CLARET CLOAK will win, but its far too short a price to back.

EYECATCHER WINNERS FOR THE LAST WEEK:

    HOT STREAK WON 9-2

I always thought that HOT STREAK looked physically like the classic 5f sprinter, and he duly obliged on Saturday returned to 5f, he may run again this Saturday, he is one to consider, and look out for next year.

HEAVENS GUEST WON 9-1 at Ascot on Saturday, this is one of the 3 year olds i flagged up to watch out for.

VENTURA QUEST WON 15/8 at Catterick on Tuesday.
