Gosh we were awful, lacking in general skill and without any standout players, just a sea of mediocrity. It’s very worrying for the future of English football and maybe we will look back at the Gerrards, lampard, beckham’s etc with some fondness in a few years as that might be the best we get for quite a number of years.
