Well the fixtures are sure to keep increasing as long as we keep building new racecourses you can bet your life Manchester wont want to be classed as a small course they will want big races and as more courses look towards all weather as a way to fill the loss of money when winter racing is abandoned that will mean more floodlit evening cards. The only future I can see is that NH will have to suffer if as Sedgefield plan NH courses decide the money is in all weather tracks.

Tanya Stevenson announced on c4 Morning line today that Southwell are hoping to reopen in November. Nothing on the internet about this though from what I can see.

Have to say David Duggan isnt the best person to have presenting when they have so many meetings to show perhaps he should be booked when they just got American Racing. Im surprised they were so low key about showing York looked like they really didnt care and why bother when they had two other meetings just made it more hurried and unprofessional.

I see ATR and Racing UK are both showing York today, bad start for the head to head of the two when ATR lost commentary and David Duggan didnt know what to really say. As it was atransferred Doncaster card dont think they will be anymore head to heads. If you watched which did you think gave better coverage to the meeting?

And the winner is as you can see Racing Uk which I have to say surprises me I didnt realise their format was so popular and well recived (yes I know its only 40 votes and hardly scientific but) as a percentage of horse racing members of this site perhaps the other three should look at why horse racing fans perfer their style. Why is Racing UK style so preferred to the other three what do they do different?

I think this is because Racing UK have decided to be a horse racing channel while ATR have decided to be a betting channel thats why they talk about betting on various sports, depends really whether you are a "punter" or a "horse racing viewer" i suppose.

Well, I am watching Emma Spencer and Andrew Barr at Newmarket, I have the mute button employed and I am wondering what Mrs. Spencer brings to racing coverage.

    Effing unbelieveably useless!

    Colin

Like Victoria Beckham nothing, but she thinks she does because her husband is a top jockey and she thinks everyone likes her, she always seems to sneer to me on screen and doesnt like any jokes made about her

But what happens when there are say four or five meetings and they clash due to a delay cant have everything on at once even with the red button cant watch two races at once properly

Why do you think Northern Asset stripped Chepstow surely they need all their courses to do as well as possible and do you think that some courses futures maybe in doubt with possibly 61 courses soon arent some of them just no gonna be able to survive. now Exeter is in Jockey Club wont their profile be improved with planned investment

Exeter is classed as a class jumps track I thought and isnt Chepstow(which I missed) or why else would the BBC bother with it. As I’ve said on other threads what happens when Exeter rights comes up for renewal now they are part of Racing UK/ Jockey Club and if Ascot jump ship like they did to Turf TV where does ATR go then?

[ most of the ATR tracks are bottom of the barrel (just my opinion)

Well Ascot, Doncaster, Newcastle, Exeter, Windsor, Uttoxeter,Leopardstown, Curragh, Punchestown, Cork, Fairyhouse, Limerick not All The Rot as it was once dubbed. Its not ATR’s fault that 8 of the top 10 are owned by Racing UK’s association the Jockey Club Courses

Just contacted virgin as an xl customer from 26 July the channels will appear free of charge, fantastic no more pay per view to Racing UK they will be free without the adverts too.
Now ATR might start acknowledging us Virgin customers too or is it going to be Sky/ATR vs Virgin/Racing UK. Could be another media war around the corner and if so its the racing viewers who will suffer.

I know the BBC have barely any coverage but I wanted the poll to reflect whether you like their style of presentation if they hyperthetically showed all races.
